As the new year is approaching, one of the most sought after goals is losing weight. What better way to get started on the road to your weight loss resolution than by joining up in a competition against others who are after the same goal!
Welcome everyone to the 4th installment of the Fat Loss competition.
Anyone is welcome to join. This competition is based off of the honor system and submissions are at your discretion.
[RULES]
- Please submit between December 29th - January 1st ONLY. All others will be ignored.
- DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS 11:59 p.m. on JANUARY 1ST. I will not be accepting late entrants. PLEASE ENTER ON TIME!
- THERE IS NO PICTURE REQUIREMENTS.
- THERE IS NO BODY FAT PERCENTAGE REQUIREMENTS. (Do not submit BF % please. Thanks.)

Simply send me a private message with your name and current weight in the SUBJECT line please. (The proper format can be found below in the How to submit weigh in section)
[HOW TO SUBMIT WEIGH-INs]
Anytime between the dates mentioned above. Please send me a PM in the following fashion:
[your_name] - [xxx] - FATLOSS COMP[2013]
| where your_name = your forum user name;
| xxx = your current weight
| *FATLOSS COMP[2013] = (put this at the end so I know this PM is related to the competition PLEASE ! THANKS!)
- If you do not submit to me in this format, I will simply ignore your PM.
- Please use this method to submit your initial weigh in also.
- *(after the first submission, you need not include the 2013 at the end. This is so I can differentiate this competition from the last one, since they overlap)
[HOW YOU CAN GET DROPPED PERMANENTLY]
With the flood of new members who come to the forums during the new year, there is usually a lot of people who start off with great intentions but give up before they even get stared. It's human nature, and I can understand that. However, for myself, adding/deleting people nonstop becomes tedious. I'm doing this for free, and while I enjoy it, I try to streamline it as best as possible.
With that said, if you miss the first weeks submission after the initial entry, you will be dropped. PERMANENTLY. If you don't submit on the first week, you are just telling me that you don't care. Sorry but there is no exceptions. MAKE YOUR FIRST SUBMISSION!

Spreadsheets will normally be updated sometime on Sunday. However, not everyone submits at the same time, so most likely I will make the final updates sometime on Monday.

Good luck to you all. We have a very low retention rate. So far, over the last three competitions the retention rate has been between 5% and 20% of the total entrants. That means that on average, out of 100 people that initially enter, only around 12 end up surviving to the end.
Will that be you?

Current stats
-180lbs (about to get demolished by Christmas though)
-33" waist (according to Levi jeans)
Goals for the JAN-APRIL round
-Low 170s. Going to just aim for 170 and hope that I'll be comfortable switching to a bulk before I get there. If I get into the 160s I'll start feeling "skinny," instead of "lean."
-32" or below on the waistline (again according to Levi's measurement). Can't set a concrete number on this since I don't know where the cut will end.Last edited by deebee83; 12-24-2012 at 01:29 PM.

This will be the big one for me!
After loosing 40+lbs in the last comp I am hoping to get down to 180 lbs.
It will be hard and close but I know I can do it!
As it is my 18th in march, my determination is sky high. My final milestone in my life move on from all the bull**** in the past...

Havn't entered one of these before. I lost 30lbs last year and put probably 5-8lbs back on, this ought to keep the motivation going. Anyone who wants a bit of motivation or moral support feel free to fire me a pm during the competition.81lbs down, 36 to go.

i'm in. although currently injured and in afghanistan i'll be workin on my diet mostly then exercisin cardio-wise slowly but surely.

Iīm in too! The last 4 months I havenīt made any progress while cutting. I am ready to get going again!
By the way, couldnīt find what the weigh-in days are going to be, I assume it will be on every friday? Or is it every week from 1st jan so making it every tuesday.Last edited by Earlbolus; 12-26-2012 at 03:05 AM.
