I miss my carbs. I love lean protein. I love vegetables. I can make all these foods taste really good.
But damn do I miss some bread, oatmeal, or a handful of something high in carbs on these kinds of diets.
My energy levels have stabilized quite well and my strength in the gym is still just as high as it was two weeks ago.
Pushing through one day at a time and I'm feeling pretty good overall right now compared to how I've felt in the past on these short term intense diets.
Oh well, going to enjoy myself on Sunday. Have a few treats planned then so I expect to go up a pound or two from water weight most likely.
Hoping to push down to 195-196 by Sunday. Break through my lowest weight of 196.4 which I hit three months ago.
11 more days to go on this and then I'm taking a week off from dieting. Not an excuse to eat crap but going to up my calories to maintenance levels for about a week or so.
I'll reassess where I want to go or do at that point. Just got to finish this little sprint out and then I'll worry about the rest of the month then.
Hope everyone else is still going strong and staying strong to their goals and commitments.
One month down! Two more months of hard work ahead of us now.

I've been cutting since the beginning of September in last year. I'm down over 40 lbs, have gained strength, and feel like I'm getting near the end. Last night I had the biggest binge I've had since I started (other than maybe Christmas, but I'm not counting that since that was 'expected'). Went to dinner with the intentions of ordering a salad with chicken on it and drinking water. Got my salad (delicious actually), but ended up having a bunch of beer and Irish whiskey (800ish calories worth), then getting home and demolishing everything in the fridge (probably another 1200 calories worth of 'junk food').
Felt like sh*t. Co-worker brought in munchkins today and I couldn't help myself. Felt even more like sh*t.
Then I went to the gym, and I had an incredible workout, including what was without question the best pump of my life. Felt like my arms/shoulders/chest were bigger and more defined than ever before in my life. Couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror. I'm still feeling jacked up from it.
And, despite the munchkins (estimating I ate about a dozen), I'm still in a deficit for the day (not as large as I aim for, but still about 300-400 below maintenance) thanks to a dinner of chicken breast and water.
Moral of the story: don't get upset about a cheat day, just move on and keep working hard. Very obvious advice, but my gym trip and dinner put me in a great mood and I was in the mood to share.

Ha! I was just bustin your bells, but that is some good strength gainz on a cut. gjdm
Going to join a gym in April/May. Till then, I've been making good gains with my body weight exercises. Started at 3 x 5 pullups, now 3 x 9 pullups (deadhang), couldn't even dream of doing a pistol a few months back, but I'm really close to being able to get them. I am doing 3 x 6 pistols (on each leg) with only my hand aiding in some balance on a door handle. I'm plenty strong enough, but just have to get the balance down.
I guess the drop in weight directly makes these exercises easier so maybe I'm not getting that much stronger, but progress is progress.

As part of my 15 week challenge I have been put on a new plan. Talk about HIT. Lots of high rep low weight workouts. Consists of 3 full body workouts and one insane cardio day. I can see myself doing well in aerobic, weight loss and body change categories but I don't know about strength. This is going to be fun!

You've done really well! I'm just going to be frank with you. You're being way too impatient. Forget your weight as a number. Every single one of us that's been cutting for a while have passed our initial weight goals bc they were too high. We all thought we had more LBM than we actually do. If fat serves one benefit, it makes you look buffer than you really are.
I'm 183 now. When I started, I thought i was going to be a ripped The Rock body stunt double @ 185. lol wrong. I was a solid 10-15 lbs off on my estimation. Ill let you know once I get there.
Stop concerning yourself with when body definition will come. You'll drive yourself crazy. Keep focusing on your diet and macros and the results will shortly follow. I say this with direct experience bc I'm you about 4 months ago.
CNH, had no idea you were doing only body weight exercises. Get in the gym mang! Also, try for a pu/cu pr. You can probably do more than you think!*LF Chat Crew

Hope things went well for everyone this week, this weeks average was 224.2lbs, that's a 1.7lb loss. The next challenge is to not regain too much of that on Sunday. I'm giving my self the day off for the sake of my sanity and so I can fully enjoy watching the Ravens win.
