Trawl bodybuilding.com and remind yourself why you're doing it. It keeps me going!
That and staying away from any food that I can't eat all of in one sitting and fit my calories. I know if I had a pizza in front of me, I'd devour that whole thing in a flash, same with large bags of chips.Starting Weight: 127.8kg (282lbs) Nov '11

No loss this week. I stepped on the scale and was exactly the same weight as last week. I felt and still feel a little discouraged. And in feeling that way, I had a bit of a binge. I ate a lot of chicken and pasta left over from my mums bday.
This was my only binge I've had so far. 1 bad night, which I figured can't do away all my progress thus far. I've just accepted what happened, has happened and to move on and to not feel guilty cause this happens to everyone. I started thinking about the whoosh affect and all the articles I have read that could explain my no loss this week and kept telling myself that it is OKAY and to NOT throw my diet away.
But I think it's still better than my other binges. Cause I normally I would go for the worse possible foods (chocolate, ice cream, chips etc) and there was half a cake in the fridge which I didn't touch. So I think I'm getting in more control of these episodes that I'm having.
I was eating 2150 - 2200~ cals on the 1st. I went from 187 to 180 in the first two weeks, which was probably just water weight, and then no loss during the 3rd week. So I think 2200~ cals is too much or too slow for me, even though I workout 5 times a week and I have a physical job that I do about twice a week.
So I'm gonna make a calorie adjustment and aim for 2050~ cals and have no refeeds until I hit 15% BF (currently at 20%). And cause I'm doing no refeeds, I will be eating more carbs (200g+) and lower my fat intake. I should be able to fit it in just fine.
Anyone got any input or personal experiences that went through a similar thought process and what not?Current: 15% BF
Goal: 10 - 12% bodyfat.
I rep back: <3

@rowdy I have been battling bingeing for years. It has gotten much better as each time i 'let go' they get less and less extreme(for the most part). Just hang in there. You are doing the right thing by not letting it completely derail you.
I would advise to keep cals the same, however for a few more weeks. A 1 week stall is nothing. If you stall for three or more weeks, then it is time for an adjustment, but not one.
Edit: for example, in the last comp, matman stalled for 3 straight weeks, but he was confident that he was counting correctly and he was in a deficit. Then on the 4th week, bam 9.5 lb drop! Dont make cal adjustments so hastily.

2,9 down this week. To reach my goal on the 31st of may, i´d have to lose 2.80208lbs/week, atm im right on track :P I know its not completely healthy but at the moment i have more to lose and the weight drops faster. As the goal gets closer, the weight loss slows down to <2,8lbs/week but the whole average means reaching the goal.
Has anyone tried skipping the cheat meals altogether? I´m not sure how important they are in maintaining constant loss for a longer period of time :x

Well, this week I have basically stayed the same (Up .2 lbs). So now is time I ask for advice. At the start of this comp I was 315 (I would think probably more cause I was 315 before the holidays). After the first week I was down to 310, which was probably all water weight. The second week in I gained 1 lb, and this week I gained .2 lbs. There's been no cheating and my diet has been right on the money every day since this competition started. I eat 2100 cals a day and 3 liters of water. I lift hard Mon/Weds/Fri.
It's discouraging knowing I'm giving my diet my all and being RIGHT where I wanna be at, with no results. I feel like I am looking better, but the scale's not moving. So I figured there's either 2 things happening:
1.) I need to drop my calories lower, but in my mind 2100 seems like that should be a large deficit for someone my size. I've thought wrong about other stuff with this, and maybe that's the case again, but if I'm staying the same at 2100, that means I'd go to about 1600 to cut. That just seems so low for someone who's over 300 lbs. What would I do 60 lbs down the road?
2.) This is probably unlikely, but maybe possible. This is the first time I've really lifted REALLY hard, and I'm doing big compound exercises that I've never done before, and I'm doing them hard, and heavy. Is it possible that maybe these noob gains are packing on, at the same time very minimal fat loss is occurring, and keeping my weight pretty much the same? I am gaining strength in the gym, and I know people are gonna tell me " YOU ONLY GAIN MUSCLE WHEN U IN A SURPLUS NOOB" but I've known people have made a lot of noob gains before. I'm not saying I think this is going on, just really the only thing I can think of as to why I feel like I'm looking better, but the scales not dropping. Looking in the mirror I seem better looking, and other people say that I look better.
ANY advice is helpful. Should I be cutting my calories lower?
tl;dr
> Eating 2100 cals a day at 310 lbs
> Haven't lost since week 1
> Should I be dropping cals even though 2100 already seems low for my size?- Dave

Awesome results everyone. I dropped 2 lbs this week. Thought I dropped 4, but the scale just decided to go really low one morning and get my hopes up... haha.
Went out of town for two days, ate out, stayed at a hotel, etc. Didn't cheat at all. I thank keto for helping me control my appetite and cravings while being surrounded by all the junk. I had a KFC Double Down and a few Zero Carb Rockstars (which are REALLY tasty btw) and a caeser salad from Povertymart. My wife had a bowl of rice with fresh General Tso chicken and I thought I was going to give up right there. LOL
Happy with my progress. 1 pound away from my January goal and we still have a little less than 2 weeks to go.
