Blegh, every Saturday there's something going on that I eat "bad" or drink beer for. SHiat! Next Saturday will be different... lol. Still down on the pounds, but down from an even worse Saturday diet so it's not really a win. Supposed to be around 179~ by now.

New Years Resolutions end on Jan 8th.
-1 here for the week, right back to where I was at the end of the Oct1-Jan1 competition (put on about a pound when I started creatine). More definition starting to show with each pound I drop now. Goal going forward is about 1lb per week, a little more manageable pace to work with.
Congrats to everyone who stuck to their diet and worked hard in the gym this week

Hope everyone had a great week.
I stuck to my clean eating and workout goals this week.
I feel a lot better and I didn't get hungry.
I found that I had to figure out ways to add more
calories because eating a lot of vegetables doesn't
have a lot of calories.
I also started steaming my vegetables and eating
veggie burgers instead of meat. They were delicious!
I am now a fan of the Morningstar Farms spicy black bean veggie burgers.
I also noticed my mindset has changed and it has become easier
to adapt to a healthier lifestyle. I'm actually enjoying eating
new healthy food, and not resistant like I used to be.
For those concerned about loose skin, I have heard some
success stories about doing dry skin brushing.
Also some people have had success using MSM products,
especially the soap.
Good luck and have a great week!

Geez, props Jarrod. 222 to 198 in two weeks is pretty rare. Did you eat a salt truck before the competition?

Anyone else's body NOT appreciate eating crappy food when you have not had it in ages? I had a kebab (foreverfat ) and spend the night waking up with stomach cramps and having to rush up and down the stairs. My head is pounding and I'm completely dehydrated. Could be food poisoning but either way the lesson is learned. This is the worst I've felt since I had glandular fever - I feel like I'm high when I'm walking around.
I have an interview today as well as things I need to write so the timing is wonderful. I also have to navigate hills covered in snow.

One of the big reasons experienced weight loss people suggest that you not set your calories so low, (1200-1700) is that you really do slow your metabolism down and have no place to go when your weight loss starts to slow down. The low level of calories starts to have negative side effects as well. You'll be tired more often, you may get lighted headed and a host of other things. Being healthy and being at a good weight really is a long run thing. Everyone wants the weight off yesterday, but that mentality often leads people to do drastic things and leads to binging for those susceptible to it. That may lead to depression and ultimately back to being fat again.
The only person that can motivate you to lose weight and keep it off is YOU. Stop making excuses for yourself. If you want to be fat, be fat. If you want to be lean/skinny/ripped/normal weight resolve to make the changes necessary to get it done. It isn't IF or ITFYM or Paleo or Atkins or the host of other diets that makes the difference its you that does. Most any diet plan will work. The key is to have a plan.

everyone is doing great. as long as you don't quit you're doin awesome.
good luck everyone!!Life is pain, you just get used to it.

Yes! That's actually significant and a key to getting to goal. A couple of uber fit guru types said that's what keeps them on track, thinking about how sick they would fill if they indulge piggy style or just eat something that is super greasy. Could be food poisoning or just your body saying wtf
Edit: I did just that last night when my offspring came home with some kinda lemony dessert bar thing from grandma ma's. I had room for cals an hadn't had a cheat so thought hey why not. Almost barfed half way through it, so sweet. Lesson learned.

Fail week has been fail. I havn't been to the gym since tuesday due to a chest infection, still hasn't lifted.. If its still here come wednesday I'll be raging, was hoping to put in a good second week, not a 1lb loss. Guess I'll have to make up for it this week!
81lbs down, 36 to go.

No weight loss in two weeks. Basically exactly the same where I was at at the start of the year.
God I need to getting my eating under control.
It's not that I'm binging or gorging myself everyday, but I'm eating enough extra that I'm obviously not losing any weight.
I workout hard and while I'm in a good place right now, I want to go farther than where I am now.
Really wish I could jumpstart my motivation to that next level to get my nutrition dialed into where it needs to be.
I think my hard working out 4-5 days a week is the only thing keeping me from gaining weight right now.
So frustrating because I've been where I'm at now weight wise for over 3 months.
I've recomped a bit in this time though, my pants are looser, and my shirts through my chest, back and shoulders have gotten tighter, but I want to my weight to drop and I want to see a visual difference in my midsection.
I won't ever give up no matter what. Even if takes me another month to get my focus back, I won't ever quit.Only Those Who Risk Going Too Far Can Possibly Find Out How Far One Can Go

Spent a couple days on a mini-vacation in NYC. Despite a good bit of drinking and no counting of calories (instead I danced with the devil and tried to eat healthy...go ahead and do it, ask me 'what is healthy,' I know you want to), the only significant damage I did was to my bank account. Gained a little bit over the last 48 hours, but I probably had about 73X more salt than usual in that time period.

$20 for that? I hope they were Himalayan Quail eggs and the coffee had gold dust in. Bacon doesn't need anything special, it's bacon.
