Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Been trying to fast these past few days to make up for a binge I had a while ago but I just can't seem to.
Tomorrow will be a free day. Won't go above 3000 calories but I definitely won't hold myself back.
I'll try to fast the day after.:)

I'm in after missing out on the last one back in Nov. I have been consistently losing about a 1lb/wk inspite of the holidays and hope to keep that up. I would like to lose about 40lb total to compete in PL next Fall. However my main goal is just being healthy and more energy. I also plan on lifting 6 days a week to keep muscle. Tall order perhaps, but you gotta try.

My goal in the competition is to get below (and stay below) 200 pounds. I'll re-assess at the end and maybe move on to reaching 190 by May.
I weighed five pounds less this morning than I did on Saturday morning (losing water weight from a cake-eating fiasco on Friday night), but my initial weight was submitted yesterday. Is that cheating? Should I resubmit another weight (such as tomorrow's)? I feel bad that I already lost a cheap five pounds.I've lost over 100 pounds and improved my life socially, mentally, and physically. Now it's time to become an impressively slim and strong guy.

I learned a lot this year in regards to how my body works with weight loss. Part of it is the realization that yeah, I do have to work a little bit harder than some others, but being okay with it. It's amazing that there are still people that don't understand that every single person actually -does- have a different metabolism despite every single biology book stating this. I gained weight throughout school despite being in after-school sports programs every single weekday for at least 2 hours, due to poor eating habits, but I also was restricted by my parents on food at the same time. So after two years of metabolic experiments and discussion with my doctor, I can finally conclude that even at 330lbs, I maintain at 2300 calories. My body also metabolizes carbohydrates very poorly, since I've had liver issues for over a decade so I see significantly more progress on lower-carb diets so I'll be trying to eat less filler carbs like wheat/sugar.
Which, based on actual metabolic information in obese people, means my metabolism is roughly 20% slower than the average person (not this 4000 calorie maintenance bs people think they have while sitting on their asses). But instead of letting myself get down about it, it just means I have to work harder. It's just funny that there are people that can cut and lose weight at 2300, and it's unfortunate that at my weight I can't do so.
My food habits are better, which has allowed me to barely gain anything back in the past six months. I am right where I was at the end of June, despite having weeks where I'd eat non-stop, because I've stayed super active and on any day after I ate like ****, I'd actually just make a broccoli/cauliflower stirfry and have that for the day and be satisfied. A year ago, I would have barely touched vegetables. Now I make tons of veggie soups and stirfries and am slowly learning to add more and more into my daily life. I want to go to Europe in August. I need to be in good enough shape to do that. So it's time to get this together. I fixed almost all the other aspects of my life this year, except this, the biggest one.
My goal is steep, I'm going to say my goal is 60 lbs. Rather set the bar high.START: xxx.x | 10-6: xxx | 10-13: xxx | 10-20: xxx | 10-27: xxx | Month Total: xx
