Good stuff man, I had a session and a half today, took a friend who is joining the army in July and it really helped the two of us push each other on. I'm going to try for 240-245 by the end of this, sitting at 265 as of today. Also got the fridge and freezer stocked with good, clean food, actually looking forward to cooking it and eating it these days.
81lbs down, 36 to go.

Got my roomie to sign up at the gym today. They were doing a 12-hour new year's sale where the first month was only $1. Him and I developed our routines at the end of December (since he is the opposite of me - skinny as ****), and it's nice to be able to keep each other accountable.
Of course, our routines are different. I have a lot more weights, where he has more calisthenics, but overall we have pretty balanced routines. Our goal was to workout 4 times per week as we have four structured workout rotations, and we're at least 2/2 so far. That bodes well, being three days into the new year and all (lololol).
My day will consist of eating sandwich meat. The low-sodium variations at the supermarket were 50% off due to only being good for a couple more days, so I bought a piss ton.START: xxx.x | 10-6: xxx | 10-13: xxx | 10-20: xxx | 10-27: xxx | Month Total: xx

I know that feel. The day this comp started, someone brought in an Oreo cake and told me they needed help eating it. A couple days later, someone has brought in a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies last night and a huge bag of candy. They even offered me little bags of cookies to take home. LOL
A few seconds of gratification isn't enough to steer me away from my goals. Not this time! I feel tempted to challenge myself to make it to 4/1 without consuming any kind of sweets.Last edited by wings_unhinged; 01-03-2013 at 02:18 PM.

Miscalculated calories and ended up eating 1950 (slightly below maintenance) rather than 1500 :/ .
Will be more careful tomorrow.
I didn't leave the house, studying all day long. Did some push ups just to keep the blood flowing and my hernia hurt like hell.
Doctor said it's too small to get it removed so I'm pretty much stuck doing very light workouts until march probably when I've got free time and can get it removed.
Doctor's orders: no gym until the 15th to see how I feel and let it rest a bit (right side which was operated this summer hurts a lot too).
Plus when I don't workout I've got no motivation to diet well :/ .
Shot up 4.5 pounds over the holidays, hope to be back to 154 by the end of the month. Should be possible with some light cardio for the last 2 weeks of the month.
Good luck everyone.:)
Im fat and overweight, what do I do? Lift heavy and eat well.
Im skinny and need to put muscle on, what do I do? Lift heavy and eat well.
I have loose skin, how do I get rid of it? Lift heavy and eat well.
My GF cheated on me, my worlds ending what do I do? Lift heavy and eat well.
My Daughters boyfriend is a gang member who is leading her astray, what do I do? Lift heavy and eat well.
I'm 10k in debt, what do I do? You know the drill. No excuses.

Another good day today, day 3 almost identical to days 1 and 2, sub 1500 cals.
Not gone to the gym yet though, legs have felt a little weak and lethargic, gonna smash it on Sat & Sun though - also looking forward to seeing the new year gym newbies in their brand new sneaks
Got work drinks tomorrow, hope to have no more than 3 whisky sodas and plan to part-compensate by a lighter evening meal - may even result in some diuretic visual gains come Saturday morning

You'll hear a lot of advice on these forums about not drinking, as it will adversely effect your results. That being said, many of us still have a drink or two (or eight) every now and then.
The "best" drink I've found while cutting is: vodka on the rocks, splash of club soda (or diet tonic), multiple lemon/lime wedges (to personal taste). Certainly not as beneficial as a glass of water or a protein shake, but to anyone who is going to be drinking anyway while cutting, I'd recommend giving it a try.
