    Remedies for anxiety? (srs) (poverty reps)

    So, I've had anxiety for quite a while now. My heart will start racing without reason and I find myself short of breath often. Any brahs have this issue and/or know how to treat it (naturally, I'm not looking to get prescribed anything). I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.

    i pretty much just stopped giving a ****. i wouldn't let myself get stressed out over things, for example if something is due in class in a month i'd start working on it right away just so i wouldn't ever get stressed about it. pretty much reduce stress in your life as much as possible.

    is your anxiety related to anything? health issues, when you're in a social situation, stress related?

    There are many ways to treat it, brotha. Personality, I often use deep breathing to balance my heart rates when I feel anxiety.

    I think it's more genetic than anything else. Both my mom and brother have anxiety. It's not necessarily in any specific situation, it just comes out of nowhere really.

    Alcohol. It's the only thing that makes me happy/calm anymore.

    When I'm sober, I'm constantly anxious and can't help but be critical of myself for my failures and weaknesses. I can't simply look past them or ignore them like most people do.

    When I'm drunk, I'm happy as a clam and can accept my ineptness and love talking to people/doing things lol.

    It's funny, because my brother is the complete opposite. When he's sober he's never anxious and thinks he's hot chit, but when he's drunk he turns into a crybaby and realizes how much of a fuk he really is.

    I always hoped that you would stop posting here. That you'd go outside, play a sport, find a girlfriend. I have this fantasy, you see.     I agree with this. I go to the gym 6 days a week and it helps tremendously but it's only temporary. I guess it just takes time.

    stop taking stimulants (That includes caffeine) and other preworkouts that are supposed to enhance energy, don't smoke cigs or do drugs or drink. My anxiety level is like a 3/10 which is abnormally low when I'm not putting any of that crap into my body. When any of that is in my body my level is about 8/10. GL


    EDIT: would def help to know what races through your mind during this anxiety

    Meditation and deep breathing does it for me. We live busy lifestyles and sometimes all we need is to take that second to just stop. Usually feels like everything just goes quiet for a second and you find some peace (srs) anxiety will do with it

    had to finally get on some medication....sht works good. no anxiety anymore
