My power rack, glute ham, and other equipment

First post here. Obviously, I can't post links so if someone wants to fix the links for me it would be appreciated. I have enjoyed reading the forum for a long time and figured it was time to post some pics.

The center piece of my gym is my rack that I had made this summer by Rick from Edge Fitness Systems. I was fairly local to him and had heard some good time about his work and appreciate Keetman's review of GHD. Without that review I may not have ended up getting this rack and GHD. It replaced an Weider rack that I had used for years. The weider rack served me well but I was eager to step up to a rack I could really enjoy.

My rack is 3x3 11 gauge steel with 2x3 steel for the weight storage portion and was powder coated black. I had the opportunity to tell him exactly how I wanted the rack set-up....sumo base, quick release spotters, band pegs, 1.5 inch hole spacing through much of the rack with 2 inch spacing higher up, pull-up bar with multiple grips, storage bars and weights, landmine attachment welded on. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Rick is definitely a good guy and was a pleasure to deal with. I am also pleased with his "monolift attachment." The rack lacks some of the fancy features of the really high end racks like laser cut numbered holes. He also doesn't like to use UHMW plastic as he believes it doesn't hold up.

I also got his glute ham raise. I only used one other GHD so I cant comment on how it compares to other GHDs, buy I can say it is solid and heavy. The split pad seems very nice and seems like it will be durable. It also adjusts very easily.

Uhual trailer loaded up. thankfully I was only 50 minutes away.

Powerbar I picked up at PIAS. You can see the base of the GHD. I just realized I didn't upload the pics of the GHD. Will have to add later.

Nice setup. What is the height on the rack. Would also be curious shag you paid for the rack.

Wow, it all looks great. Nice pick-ups OP. How much did the rack cost you? And while you have the camera out taking pictures of the GHD, would it be possible to snap a quick photo of the multigrip pull up bar and the welded on landmine please?! Thanks, and repped.

I noticed Edgefitness GHD has an adjustable pad height, making it usable as a dip station. Does your model have it? Or is it just on Deluxe? I've never seen this feature on other GHD brands.

Here are stills from their video.

I don't believe that is a standard feature on either of his models. I have the same GHD as the OP and mine doesn't have it. It's still a great unit though. One of the pluses of dealing with Rick is the ability to have your gear customized just about any way possible.

    Very nice setup.
It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

    Thats sweet!

One thing on the Mono lift. If you swap the attachements to the opposite uprights (so the angle iron is on the outside), it will put the hooks closer to the outside of the upright and allow for a bit more space for your hands on the bar.

Good to know. Liked that step-up plate on his deluxe model. I think it's the best one out there in terms of design.

Mine does not have the adjustable pad/handle height for dips. I'll post a pic later. I am really impressed with the quality.

Not sure the size of the room. Its about the smallest room that u would want for all that equipment. I think i have 6 of the 4 by 6 ft horse stall mats from tsc and the floor isnt completely covered.

I guess this is why you want the GHD with the split pads. . . . ? Just askin'.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Nope, contrary you need a solid one so you can push with your chin on forced reps.

Silly idea, not that useful for dips and moving shaft just adds extra wobble when doing other movements.

It isn't all that useful for dips, but that's because the handles are too far apart. On my first GHR from Rick I had the adjustable pad. Its wobble was not an issue, it locked in just fine. When I got it, he explained it was to do different angles on the GHR, not for dips....not sure why he's going that route other than to market one more thing his machine will do. On my current one, the pad is stationary, but the ankle holders can be adjusted for the same effect as before. I don't know why he made the change.

Here are the pics you requested. Unfortunately I am still not to 50 posts though.
