Re-read the final review and just love it... Thank you very much for your time, detail, and feedback, dude! This was one of the best logs I've been a part of, so when another opportunity pops up from us, I hope you'll consider throwing down again.

Good review.
Thanks B, I really want to give Protocol a try in the near future, stacked with Origin I'd imagine one hell of a peri-workout concoction.

Genoymx Origin Final Review
Thanks again to Ajerone and the rest of the Genoymx team for giving me the chance to try their new pre-WO Origin out!

Ingredient Profile: 8.5/10-- I love the hefty dose of Citrulline in here and the inclusion of a "calming" agent with the theanine was one of the most positive things I personally found. TMG shows decent promise, being its activity as a methyl donor is good for heart/liver health, but it still has much to be shown for athletic/performance benefit in humans. Also a solid dose of caffeine in here which you can't really go wrong with since the benefits of caffeine are widely known.
Taste: 7.5/10-- While this is by no means a "bad" tasting preWO, I found the flavor just a bit awkward. It always came across as somewhere between a tart cherry flavor and iced tea, but it was a subtle flavor. Im very picky about this aspect of PreWOs though, so I'm sure many people will enjoy the flavor of Origin more than I do. I did find that mixing it with some other flavor enhancers like MiiO made for some pretty tasty concoctions.
Smell: 10/10-- THe only reason Im including this in the review is because this stuff smells so damn awesome! Reminds me of opening a jar of fresh maraschino cherries
Mixability: 9/10-- A bit of foaminess after mixing always, but it dissipates soon thereafter; other than that it mixed flawlessly no matter the amount of H2O I used.
Energy: 9/10-- No shortage of jolt from Origin, that was for sure. I was taking 3 scoops for most of the log which would come out to a little over 300mg of caffeine and 4.5g of citrulline. The energy never resulted in a crash or headaches though which I really liked. It was always a very smooth, clean energy, not like a jittery/panic type effect.
Focus: 10/10-- Yes, this is bar none my favorite part of Origin. This reminded me of the 1,3-DMAA affects in terms of just "being in the zone" like nothing in the world matters but me and the weights. THankfully, this came without all the crap side effects that 1,3-DMAA is known for. I have to surmise that much of this benefit came from the inclusion of the theanine Rhodiola Rosea; I strongly urge Genoymx to keep these ingredients in the product should they revise the formula in the future
Pump/Blood Flow: 8/10-- THis area is tough for me to critique because I dont generally train with a high volume, bodybuilder-esque workout. That being said, even the small amount of higher volume training I did do usually resulted in some pretty awesome pumps. Im sure the nice dose of Citrulline can only be a positive for people looking for a nice stackable preWO if you wanted to toss in your own agmatine or whatnot.
Lasting effect/endurance: 9/10-- Another favorite aspect of Origin was that it didn't have a sudden "dead end" and just seemed to nicely transition a few hours after dosing back down to a baseline feeling. There was also rarely instances of headaches or crashing at night.
Negatives/Gripes?-- If I had to be nitpicky I would say that the beet red coloring of the powder has me a bit concerned of the food coloring/dye that may be in there, but Im not going to write it off just because of that. I also would have liked the inclusion of maybe a few more preWO type ingredients, but I think Genomyx was looking for a product that would stack well with Protocol and other products so i can see why this formula is designed the way it is.
Overall: 9/10-- I cant really think of many PreWOs Ive tried in recent memory that served me as well as Origin did. This was my first try of any of the Genomyx product line and I am thoroughly impressed/satisfied with what Origin provided. Aside from the slightly "weird" taste (for lack of a better term) and deep red color, I loved what Origin provided in terms of energy, focus and performance benefits. Tack on the fact that side effects were next to nil, and this is one hell of a competitor in the otherwise flooded category of Pre-Workout supplementation.
Great Review. A tad late here, sorry about that.
I agree with the addition of a few other pre workout ingredients, however within our Basyx line we will be having several bulk ingredients. First up is a flavored Agmatine product...
So in retrospect, Origin, Protocol, Creginite serve as the base layer for ingredients, and then we allow you to customize as you wish from our line of Basyx ingredients.
