    Staring strength question?

Hey guys I've been gymming for about 12 months (8 was pretty much wasted because I was doing stupid sh*t). Anyway I saw that my lifts weren't getting any stronger so I decided to give Starting Strength a go. However whenever I do squats on Monday for I.E. Workout A I seem to be waaaaay too sore on wednesday to do squats again. I aim for about 8+ hours of sleep a day and am eating 250+ above my maintenance. Am I doing something wrong?

    Help much appreciated thanks.

If its sore on wednesday you should go 80% lighter than monday and do your best to push thru the pain. I dont think theres anything wrong working out while sore tho. As for the diet make sure u eat +800 to 1000 more than maintenance if u r about 18 to 20% body fat. More if u r skinny, as SS routines is very demanding.

Lift though the soreness. If you stay consistent it will go away.

As long as it's "soreness", and not actual injury.

For me, so I assume most people, the first workout always leads to the most soreness, then after a while I don't even get sore any more after doing the exercises for a while...
