What are some indoor cardio methods?

Its cold as heck outside, and I don't feel like riding my bike in this weather. What are some things I can do indoors to get my heartrate up? Only thing I can think of is jumping rope at the moment

Stair-climbing is perfect, especially if you live in an apartment complex with tall buildings.

Depending on the type of gym you have some of them have some indoor areas designated for speed and agility training (especially nowadays) more and more gyms are incorporating these. In these areas there is bunch of quick cardio drills you can to get the heart rate up.

Another one is Barbell Complexes, I've been doing this once a week for a cardio weight type workout.
    5 Sets
    1 Power Clean
    1 Front Squat
    1 Push Press
    1 Back Squat
    1 Push Press
Repeat for 5 reps of each for 5 sets with ramping up weight.

Another thing is jump roping as mentioned you can take it a step further and jump rope for 1 min followed directly by some pylometrics like box jumps or jumping lunges.

There are tons of options out there.
    Maxes-
    Deadlift- 565
    Squat- 395
    Bench- 300
    TOTAL- 1260

Thanks for the tips everyone... I'll go through the thread and rep everyone. I work out in my home so I was stumped before.... I do have a flight of about 14 steps here. I'll mix in some rope with running the stairs

    Thumbs up

You can do a small circuit and amp up the speed/intensity every rotation.

Heres a few exercises to muck around with or modify depending on your fitness level.

Sprawls / jump sprawls (tuck jump, plant hands on the ground, feet back like a pushup, hips to the floor and back up to start)

Plyometric push ups / explosive pushups (wide , medium or diamond . Clapping pushups, side to side pushups etc.)

    Plank / side plank

    Mountain climbers

Sit ups / crunches / bicycle crunches / v sit ups

Leg raises / static hold / leg flutter

    Dips

    Shadowboxing with or without resistance.

    Stationary or walking lunges

    Stair runs / step ups

If youve got weights, dumbells or a kettlebell you can add so many more activites . Most of these exercises done properly will get your heat racing and core muscles burning within 5-10 minutes. If you would like anymore exercises feel free to message me.

    Hopefully that helps!

Try walking up and down a flight of stairs for 20 minutes! I use alot of the exercises from Insanity to do cardio at my house when I can't do things outside, it works good.
