I lay around, eat, sleep, eat some more, sleep some more. And I repeat that for a couple of days, then I get over it and get back to normal life.

I get on Youtube and search for funny fail compilations. Mainly clips of people getting hurt doing something stupid. It always makes me laugh.
Here's a good one:
Sept of Baelor was an inside job. Wildfire can't melt stone masonry.

i just think the world is black, this is all meaningless and that i'm going to die anyway.
if you can't beat it, embrace it."The human race is still largely a group of monkeys with slightly better grooming habits. Give them a microscope and and they'll examine their own ****, give them a telescope and they'll go looking for tits."

OP-
I don't know where you live, but judging from your username, I'm guessing it is Wisconsin.
If you are truly depressed, you probably need to talk to a doctor.
If you are just down in the dumps, maybe journal how you feel to get it out? Is there someone you can talk to?
Oh...and these movies always make me laugh:
Talladega Nights
Blades of Glory
The Birdcage

Maybe start a gratitude journal and write down 3 things every day that you are grateful for. Sometimes it's about appreciating what we do have, rather than what we don't.
I felt quite depressed mid-year. I was struggling emotionally that I was in a job that I thought I would be stuck in for another few years. I decided that I needed to find something in my life that I could focus on which was about me. I decided that I was going to focus on my fitness and achieving the goals I set for myself really lifted my mood. I felt like I was doing something with my life, rather than just going nowhere.
Definitely see a Dr though if you are really struggling. Christmas is a difficult time of year for a lot of people. There is support out there if you need it.

Something I enjoy. Some f*cking expensive chocolate, funny clips on the net and usually something strange happens when I'm feeling bad about my situation....I talk to someone that's doing much worse. It just makes me realize how good I actually have it and to get over my loathing.
Myself or someone I love could have not woken up today instead.
