There's a few ****ing emo-like posters that keep starting up threads bashing Luck and the only thing in common is that they're all Redskins fans. Seriously? Its not enough that your team has a pretty good QB that you have to bash somebody else's to make yourself feel better?
Why so insecure?

Why are Redskins fans so butt-hurt about Andrew Luck?

andrew luck es good
he's the only weapon on his team (ballard could be okay but lucks had no help up to this point)
hence, he's gonna have to take risks and put the team on his back -> leads to turnovers
RGIII has super efficient stats but you gotta remember he's at least got a solid running game. (which is mostly thanks to him but its w/e)
tl;dr: RGIII and Luck both are studs.

This is the problem. People saying Luck is better than Griffin... Based on what?! What a few talking heads on ESPN said? Watch both play, and if you honestly think Luck is better right now, then you're a jackass. In almost every quantifiable attribute (arm strength, accuracy, decision making, athletic ability), Griffin has been superior. Hell, I'll go as far to say Russell Wilson has been better than Luck this year as well.
I think Luck will be great, but he is not great now. He has made too many mistakes.355 Bench

RG3 has played better this season, sure. But I'm talking about when both their careers are finished who will be considered the better QB. There is little doubt in my mind that Luck will be the superior QB. And arm strength? Luck has a stronger arm. He's also pretty darn athletic and is a student of the game and a leader. The guy has everything you want as a quarterback. He's bigger then RG3 too, just lack the speed and agility of RG3. Besides that, Luck is better in every way and that includes intangibles. Not knocking RG3, but I think Luck will be in a league of his own when it' set and done. Peyton Manning/Tom Brady if not better then both. I think his potential is to be the best of all-time srs.

Coby Fleener, TY Hilton, Donnie Avery, Lavon Brazill and Dwayne Allen, and Vick Ballard have all done well, despite being rookies. RG3 has had for the majority of the season less talent to work with. BRB Logan Paulsen, Niles Paul, Josh Morgan, Leonard Hankerson, and Santana Moss. Alfred Morris is a 6th round pick, just like Ballard.
Don't give me the no talent around him excuse when they are very comparable.
Griffin has a stronger arm. This is a fact.
Griffin is not a student of the game? Griffin is not a leader? He was a captain as soon as he got there.
Griffin has everything you want in a quarterback.
Luck is 1.5 inches taller and about 15 lbs heavier. Nearly irrelevant
Accuracy? No mention of it, yet Griffin has nearly the highest completion percentage in the NFL while Luck has one of the lowest. And inb4 Griffin doesn't throw down field when he actually does at the same rate as Aaron Rodgers
What intangibles does Luck have that Griffin does not? I feel like people say this to somehow justify Luck being better with no apparent evidence. Because no one can specifically point to a certain "intangible".
These arguments to me are asinine because there is no truth to them. At least you didn't mention gimmick offense.355 Bench

Here's the reason: because people think Luck is better than RG3. In no objective way is this true. No one wants to give credit to RG3. Luck is currently the most overrated QB in the NFL, not because he's a bad QB (he's actually a very good QB) but because if you listen to many people (especially on the misc) you would think he's the greatest player of all time when in fact he has some issues with decision making and he's had a pretty good team around him this year. Luck and RG3 are both great players and I anticipate many Redskins/Colts Super Bowls in the future but at the moment RG3 is an objectively better quarterback in every way.

lmao Fleener has 24 catches on the season and Brazill has 11. And these guys are doing well because of Luck.
The bigger thing is who is asked to do more. Colts are top 5 in pass attempts per game. Redskins are bottom 3 in pass attempts per game.
Redskins have the best rushing game in the league (yes, RG3 is a part of that). Colts have a bottom 10.
Luck has a lot more weight on his shoulders.

Not even going to quote and do this again.
But the newest excuse on why Luck is better seems to be RG3 has more options around him.
Oh you mean Garcon? Who's been injuried half the year but was also the over payed product of Manning?? But now he's good right?..ok
Oh you mean Robinson and Hankerson who are basically rookies and no different then Lucks WR/TEs
So it's Josh Morgon the over payed injuried WR with promise from San Fran?
Oh you mean Alfred Morris the 6th round running back?? ok
Wait..you mean Fred Davis..oh nvm he's hurt
So you must mean Chris Cooley..lmao nvm
So it's gotta be Logan Paulson the undrafted blocking tight end?
Naa it's gotta be the defense..wait.
So where does RG3 have the advantage on his team? Coaching staff..that's about it. The same coaching staff that has won 12 games the last two years.
I personally don't have an issue with Luck apart from the fact the Colts tanked the last part of the season to get him. I'm happy with RG3 and Cousins. But it's the ignorant shiit you read on sports misc, other forums or espn/nfl network about gimmick offense, not black enough etc etc but there is no mention of Lucks issues and the fact he's brought up in not just ROTY but MVP(lmao wut)
Luck has not impressed me as much as RG3 or Wilson (this year)Redskins-Orioles

Redskins fan checking in.
Andrew luck has qb rating of 75???? OHH LOL. RG3 is highest in the league you colt nut huggers. Dont even compare. Luck throws so many interceptions. No where close to athleticism. RG3 has the same if not better leading qualitiesLast edited by bzman; 12-18-2012 at 08:07 PM.

Luck is asked to do more and they aren't nearly as productive as the Redskins on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe give Luck less work? And collectively those players have played pretty well for the Colts. They could do better, sure, but there are worse units out there.
Both are rookies
Both come from small colleges in the south
Both are 6th round picks...
Meaning talent evaluators and NFL Front Offices evaluated these two players as of similar value. And from a physical perspective...
Morris: 5'10" 218, 4.65 40 yard dash
Ballard: 5'11" 219, 4.65 40 yard dash
I'm well aware there is a lot more to being a RB than just numbers, but let's not say Morris is some star while Ballard is some scrub please. Maybe Shanahan knows how to utilize RBs and give them the damn ball? And Griffin creates Morris opportunities by the way defenses must defend Griffin.355 Bench

I don't think Redskins fans would make those thread if people would stop acting like Luck has been better than RG3 this season. I don't see how anyone who has watched both of them this year can objectively say that Luck has been better. He's been more fortunate, but not better.
RG3>>Luck.
RG3 does not turn the ball over, and that is something that can't be overlooked. Turnovers absolutely kills teams in this league.
