Stats:
10th grade
6'0
192
16.3% BF
245 Bench Press(185 reps x10)
315 Squat
2.78 20 yd dash, 4.81 40 yd dash
26inch vertical jump
With all these stats I still just don't have the football player build, I play linebacker and have broad shoulders but I'm not jacked or anything. The reason I wonder is because I am transferring to a 4aa public school next year, and am afraid the coaches will think that I can't play because of how I look. Do these schools usually test bench press and 40 time? I hope so because looking at me you wouldn't guess I could do what I can do. I don't look like a complete mess but I don't look as athletic as some kids who can't bench 155 or run a sub 5 forty. I just don't get it. I can tackle really well and am explosive(I was thinking about maybe playing some d-line too) but still...I'm just afraid they wil think i can't play...

I was in a very similar situation back in high school so I remember this well.
You need to cut Bf% and try to get as close as you can to 10%. That basically means you will almost have a six pack. You said you are currently 16%? Post pics so I can see, because I don't believe it. If you were really 16% your coaches shouldn't think your overweight for your position at all. I've seen linemen play closer to 20-25%, because they ate crap but still went to the practices. If you REALLY are 16% the coaches shouldn't care.
Regardless losing bodyfat is the simplest thing in the world. Take in less than your caloric maintenance, and start eating CLEAN foods, none of that teenager fast food garbage. You already have good athletic muscle mass if your stats are correct, I willing to bet you could drop to 10%BF in 1-2 months easily.People say all of this crap about genetics this, genetics that. I will never let genetics tell me what I can and cannot do..

Any experienced coach is not worried what you look like but what you play like. I worked with a junior high this year and we had a couple of freshman come down from the varsity to give our best players some competition. One kid looked like he would be a stud and he was awful. The head coach said yea he is the first one you want off the bus and the last one you want on the field. If you go crack a couple pads loud enough the coaches will give you some attention.

Did you even read what I posted? My guess is you didn't. Your NOT gonna be defined at 16%, lose bodyfat. That's all you have to do if your worried about it. We have all already told you your coaches will not care about how you look.People say all of this crap about genetics this, genetics that. I will never let genetics tell me what I can and cannot do..

Your coaches aren't going to care how much you weigh if you are wrecking $hit all game. Keep consistant with your training, keep eating, and for the love of God don't cut weight. This is the most developmental time in your life, don't hinder that by trying to drop weight or bf% right now. Keep working your ass off and those things will come with time and muscle maturity.

Absolutely, I 100% completely agree. Remember, when you are on the football field, physique really doesn't much matter.
In terms of muscle definition, yeah that does come with lower bodyfat levels, but also remember you are young. You have not even come close to developing muscle maturity or genetic potentials in terms of sarcoplasmic hypertrophy that brings about those fuller, rounder looking muscles you are looking for. You have some great stats, keep on busting ass and progressing my man!www.ripcordperformance.com
