I've found a good use for the EZ bar when working the back (rows). I was looking for a bar that actually had knurling where I wanted it... this is really the only one I could find. However I'm concerned the bar isn't intended/designed for the kind of weight I'm using it for -- especially the way it rests on the curl rack when I set it down.
Attached image is the approx. stress points of where the bar rests on the curl rack/position. When loaded up to 3 and 4 plates per side (barely enough room for 4), and then setting it -gently- down on the rack, I'm not sure if those screws mounts in there are really intended for this kind of stress.
Or maybe it's chrome steel and I have nothing to worry about. In any event, just thought I'd ask around...

You're not going to break the bar with normal plates. If you're worried about the little screws on the very end that hold the sleeves on, don't worry, those screws don't see any sheer force, it's all tension on them.
