Papa bear
Weigh in @ 204.8 pounds.
I had an Awesome Time working with my good friend Cliff H Nixon. Specialty Imaging - Fitness - Papa Bear with Kevin Mattson. Still modeling on a variety of special project photo shoots. Cliff's work is Quite Impressive... with a relaxed, comfortable professional atmosphere he makes you feel right at home. PAPA BEAR
When I was a young cub ...
Guess I was considered stronger than average back when the Dinosaurs
roamed the earth, lol I was very much into weight lifting, benching a
clean 350 pounds, & was very much into boxing & martial arts,
although I have never performed professionally.
I was also very
quiet & very shy,{and I still am }, and I did not talk much.
Except when I was in my comfort zone among a close pack of friends. They
even called me smiley in the 8th grade, & I was always told I was too nice.
Because I was so strong and quiet, I was often misunderstood. To give
my story a little of amusement, I will say it like this...
Like a big quiet bear, I mostly kept to myself. Just trying to get through school was hard enough.
Curious... predators began taunting me, trampling in my territory,
wanting to test their strength & capabilities against mine.
I
did not want to engage in attack, rather, I just wanted to be left
alone. But I had no choice... & I was forced to do so
but it never took much, & I always managed to defend my territory well They called me BEAR!
My nickname stuck well, in fact, it stuck so well that years later, I tattooed it on my left knuckles.
This is the first half of my story, and how BEAR came about.
As I grew up, I was always close with my Grandpa. We always did
everything together, from helping him fix & build things,{ he was an
AMAZING Craftsmen/Carpenter}, to a sweet relaxing day of fishing! He
called me his lil partner I called him PAPA, {pronounced Baw-Paw }. My
Grandpa, PAPA, passed away about 13 years ago now... I took it very
hard, & still miss him so much
I tattooed myself again, on my right knuckles... with his nickname, what I called him... PAPA.
Now in February of 2007, I found out from my oldest daughter Crystal
that I was going to be a Grandpa! My own Father, being very Ill at the
time, fell prey from his sickness. And the angels took him to his
eternal home on April 15th, 2007
But not before he knew that he was to be a Great Grandpa himself he was very excited & glad to know this.
My Granddaughter has been a blessing & healing joy to us all... especially me.
I call her, Grandpas lil jumpin bean... she calls me PAPA BEAR.

Excuses?
IT'S LEG DAY !!!!!!
I need some extra motivation to get through this one:
Leg Press
3 sets of 22-25 reps
Barbell Squat
3 sets of 8-10 reps
Seated Leg Curl
3 sets of 18-20 reps
Standing Leg Curl
3 sets of 8-10 slow reps followed by 10 quick reps
Hack Squat
3 sets of 20-30 reps
Unilateral Leg Extensions
1 set of 20 reps, 1 set of 10 reps, 1 set of 5 reps
Your legs hurt? Really? Isn't that cute. Now get up off your lazy butt and go blast those legs until they really hurt !

To all my bodybuilding.com friends
I got really sick last week and I have now recovered, still feeling a little weak. I just wanted to thank all of you who sent up your prayers, encouraging words, concerns, and motivational thoughts & videos.
Tomorrow starts the 2nd half of the challenge for me and I am ready to take my transformation to the next level.
A BIG THANK YOU

Morningstar makes them.... I get them in the frozen section at Costco. They are only 4g fat ... 13g carb.... 11g protein and 120 calories. This is my post workout meal at noon... 1 blackbean burger with 4-6 egg whites and I put a slice of fat-free sharp cheddar cheese on it... then pour some Franks Red Hot sauce on it....YUM ! ! !

I hardly post here cause I'm on the other forum But it doesn't allow me to give or receive reps =) Funny you should ask this question until about a month ago I decided to go against conventional wisdom cause I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. Since I'm very active in the morning because of my work and I don't hit the gym til like 4 pm I've decided to take out the carbs right out of my first meal.. Just eat proteins and the only carbs I have are from any dairy that I take.. I take most of my carbs around my workouts 2 hours before and right after.. for some reason it gives me the energy to get through it and replenish my glycogen stores.. ever since then I've seen massive improvements around my waist and my overall composition.. I wish I've tried this sooner.. there are days that I do feel crappy so I load up some more carbs then usual but never on my first meal.. This also helps me hit my Macro's allot easier for some reason..
FAR ROCK STRONG!
