I'm working on it, but he did something stupid. I did not ban him. Everybody calm down. No sense in you getting banned for 3 months for mod hate when he might be back.

Also, no sense in mod hate when he posted what he did or had it in his sig or whatever. Also, it's too subjective to not ban some members b/c some people feel they are a good poster. Not everyone liked him so they would disagree with that. When it comes to bans we have to be objective. Just b/c I like someone doesn't mean they should get to break the rules.

And don't forget. MODS DO NOT WRITE THE RULES.

I'm e-mailing is regards to a known poster on the Bodybuilding.com Forums, Francis333.
Francis is a knowledgeable and reputable poster who has always given sound and helpful advice throughout his entire time on the forums. This is illustrated by his rep power reaching over 10,000 (Note: this is rep POWER, not rep points.) which is huge.
Fran got permanently banned from the forums for having something inappropriate in his signature - being:
"YO FU** MARK ZUCKERBERG YOU DIRTY JEW IM GONNA BREAK INTO MY MICRO LAG AND SEND HIM ANTHRAX IN THE ****IN MAIL IF HE DONT FIX THIS MOTHE ****ER CHAT WITH SOME OF HIS 50 BILLION DOLLARS"
It is acknowledged that the signature was inappropriate but was only made for harmless fun. He was banned for, and I quote "You have been banned for the following reason:
perm racist rant/death threat in sig".
Now please read the signature closely. At stage was there ever a serious death threat NOR any example of racist behaviour. If you consider the "Dirty Jew" comment the racist part - Judaism is a religion and not a race. This is poor knowledge on behalf of the mod that banned him too as this comment was an example of bigotry, not racism.
It is believed that MemCop was the moderator responsible for Francis333's ban.
There was simply no warning of Francis333's ban, simply permanently banned right from the start. Francis himself has stated that he would have changed the signature immediately if he was warned or given any sign that his signature was against the rules or offensive. It was simply made in harmless fun.
It is more than fair to say that permanently banning Francis333 is beyond an unfair punishment for what he has done, given the fact has not committed but one act against the rules prior to this.
I request of you to please just look over this action and at the very least shorten the ban but better yet un-ban him and pass with a warning. Francis333 is such a quality poster who has assisted many in his time on bodybuilding.com. Banning people like Francis will do nothing but worsen the forums, so if you care for the forums please do what is right.

unethically? Why don't you read the goddamned rules. The rules ARE the warning. What is unethical about banning someone for something that violated the rules? Context can get confused online without an 'lol' or smiley face.

Don't anyone get things twisted. I'm considering helping him b/c I know you guys like him. Not b/c the ban was wrong. IT WAS NOT.

Having second thoughts now b/c of his cheeky attitude in that e-mail. He needs to realize he wants something from US. Not vice versa. He don't have to kiss our ass, but pointing out that the labeling of his ban reason was wrong is not the way to go about it when both things are equally bad.

memcop knows the difference. We just have a drop down box of common ban reasons and it was just easier. IT DOESN'T MATTER THEY ARE THE SAME.
