aha nice! i like his showing at the '96 O better. good find with the pics man! the only ones i'v found are on the muscletime site. have you ever thought of working for a muscle mag or a web site like muscletime? you'd make a killing bro.
In 1996 he was also in great condition. I would put that right after his 1994 Mr. Olympia physique in my opinion.
As for working for other websites, a few have approached me to write articles and use rare pics that I have. I really don't have that much time to devote myself to those things right now. Who knows, maybe down the road.

He deserved one Olympia within his career IMO.
I competed the same night he competed back in 86 when he lost to Eddie Robinson. Even back then when we were pumping up in the back he look so complete and balance at such a young age. He blew our minds. Been a fan ever since.
Completely agree, can't believe the fact that he, Flex and Levrone (even Dillet could be considered in 94) didn't get at least one Sandow.

You can make a new thread with these revolutionary ideas and gather the anti-Yates crew as usual.
There is no difference between my opinion and the judges, they're all just subjective opinions. The difference is that I'm very clear in what I feel should be the standard and what should be sought after, the judging procedure is very ambiguous and left up for interpretation.
It's not so much that I'm anti Yates, I think he has some good training advice and some great diet advice (although he does lie about his supplementation). I just view his stay as the champion as too long and I think he was an extremely poor spokesman for bodybuilding. I'm more Pro Ray/Levrone/Flex/Dillet than anti Yates, it just tends to come out that way because I feel as though they were slighted where they shouldn't have been.

you're confused about the judging procedure but bring up crap like dorian's personality as a reason he shouldn't have won as much as he did...
its ok to have an opinion but please put some thought into it please
and no dillet doesn't have consideration of a possibility for winning in 94. You think a most muscular shot is reason enough? yes a non mandatory pose (in that decade) during the posedown is where dillet beat dorian... lets not speak of the top 3 destroying him in back poses, conditioning and presentation.

"Put thought into it"/= Go with the consensus
Here is my thought into it:

So you're saying that you have better ideas than the judges despite all the logical fallacies, that a champ's era shouldn't be too long or too short and his spokesman skills should matter on stage. Ok then...
