Hmmm...I just put a bit of water in a bowl and steam mine in the microwave for 8 to 10 minutes (until the core is soft)...and sprinkle a little cayenne pepper on top to bring out the natural yummy flavors....

Or...prepare as above but add cinnamon!

That's really the only way I prepare mine.

Cayenne pepper sounds interesting. I think I might try that on the sweet potato fries I bought.

I either bake or steam them and whip them with a touch of butter and vanilla. Really simple but so delicious.

My favorite way is whipped with a tiny bit of butter, a grated orange rind and splash of OJ.

Then take the leftovers and throw them into a blender with some protein powder and dairy/non dairy milk (whatever you use), cinnamon and nutmeg and drink it.

    Sweet Potato Dessert

Boil one sweet potato in water till it is soft. Then cut into small cubes and blend with 250-300ml of milk. Heat up the mixture in a pot and add honey.

You can do this with yam as well.

you can make them into "fries" by chopping them and putting them in the oven with some salt pepper, and oil of your choosing.

i used to chop them up into circles, microwave, then put hummus, kale and a jalepeno pepper on top.

I just peel them, cut them up, and put them in a big pot of water and boil them. After they're boiled, strain them, mash em and refridgerate! There you go! It's simple fast and you can make enough to last a few days depending on how many carbs you eat. This is what I do every week and have been for a couple years.

I bake a bunch on the weekend, and usually eat them topped with a tablespoon or 2 of peanut butter, a little greek yogurt, and cinnamon. It looks kinda gross, but makes a very satisfying snack. I also like them in protein shakes (my protein powders are peanut butter and vanilla almond, and they go well with both flavors)

This sounds delish!! I am def. going to try this. I make sweet potatoes in a batch every Sunday...and have 3 oz with 2-3 of my meals every day! I usually simply bake, and mash. No seasoning...but these are some great ideas to spice them up!

Sweet potato mash is amazing. With a bit of salt and pepper for flavoring.
Sweet potato fries - finely slice and bake in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil.
