Weighed in at 190 today. gonna take measurement of my waist but I think it's stayed the same. Haven't been trying to bulk but have been trying to eat more the past few months. I'd say its working. Strength is incredible in the gym right now.
Goal is to hit around 220lbs before next cut, while staying around 15% BF...feasible realistically?www.grazethesky.com

Caveat Emptor and all that.
In other news, tonight's workout was awesome. Just went in to do the big 3 -- and hit personal max in all three.
For squats, I started off with two sets of 145, but that seemed too easy. So I upped the weight and did 2 sets of 4 reps @ 185 -- and the last one was barely there (arched my back, that's when I stopped). Next time I do squats, I may lower the weight just a little (say, 165) and try to hit 6-8 reps. I did have a question about squats -- do you guys pull back from the squat rack, or do you do it right there?
And for bench, I hit 130 -- two sets of 6 reps each with great form. I know it's not much, but given that I started off benching 65 lbs when I started out six months ago, I'm pretty happy.
My biggest problem was my dead lift -- I did 195 lbs (3 25 lbs on each side) with decent form at 6 reps.
I could have done more -- in fact, I started out with 10 lbs more on each side and was able to do it with good form, but my grip sucked. So, I kept dropping the barbell on the floor, which made me reduce the weight a little. Incredibly frustrating. I could have done it with better form and more weight if it were not for the fact that holding the barbell was quite literally painful.
Followed that up with weighted ab crunches and some pull-ups while I was waiting for the wife.
Had I gone with the original AP's plan, I doubt my lifts would have hit these numbers. I feel like I had been holding back just to stick to the program, which in hindsight was pretty stupid. Now, it's just a huge boost to my self confidence that my lifts have gone up so quickly. I was literally benching and squatting a little over 100 just about 2 months ago. And I did not even do DLs, only SLDLs, back then -- which were also sh*tty. My appetite has shot through the roof as a result but thankfully, I am not gaining insane amounts of weight -- about .3-.4 lbs/week.
Now, if only I can get rid of these stupid joint pains I'd be set. Doctor's appointment tomorrow -- should be fun.Last edited by Voxmusculus; 01-03-2013 at 10:59 PM.

Vox you shouldn't be doing those lifts starting at or near your max. You should start with WAY less and work up to your max. You'll lift more and it will be much much safer.

Also, not sure if you are or not, but do not use gloves to do DLs!

Ah ok, I have that happen to me too sometimes when there is something sugary in addition the ice cream...like an oreo! I love ice cream too, but I had some kind of coffee / fudge brownie ice cream the other day and the brownie bit was just way too much. Try going with something more plain and see if it's still too sugary.
And there's always Talenti

I can relate to that, alot of the stuff I enjoyed before just dont taste as good anymore, think im still stuck on nutritional value of food rather than taste. Still make myself eat em tho for the calories mostly , gotta keep em somewhere! I swear I could still live on a protein shake or two and some chicken breasts with veggies still, appetite has gone downhill after the long cut, even after more than a month on bulk i gotta force myself to eat :P

I only get DOMS after the first workout if I've been out of the gym for a while.
