And throughout the whole workout, while I am sure I could have lifted more, my joints were in bad enough shape that I went with lower weights. Not happy.

I take joint supplements -- the NOW Bone Strength -- on a regular basis, so not sure what's going on. Maybe I need to up my protein as well, and that's affecting my recovery? Either way, taking it easy for the next day or two.
Cutting or bulking? Might want to look at fat intake if cutting.

I really only use gloves for dead-lifting. The knurling on my Olympic bar chews up my hands.

that feel when you are burning the ball joint bolt off with a cutting torch because the whole thing spinning free & you don't notice you set the CV boot on fire until you smell the grease burning because of the welding goggles.

Hit two plates for the first time today. Goal was to do it before Jan.1st so not bad.

I'm starting to look like a ******* power lifter though with aesthetics not even once. I think I'm going to go back to toning with light weights (srs)

babbys first lesson in holding things: hold stuff in your fingers. If a pushing exercise the weight goes in your palm down by your thumb. If you are circumcising your skin on pull ups or deadlifts, you are holding the bar incorrectly.

ball joint on what? If a suspension component you can load whatever it is with a prybar like a control arm so there is artificial weight on. Or use a hammer and hit the side of whatever the ball joint is in since they should be a tapered fit.

Was "fabbing" something one day in the garage. I had been going in and out of the house a lot (getting Bud Lights or peeing), and didn't want to track metal shavings in and scrape up the floor so I had been taking off boots/putting on flip-flops as I re-entered the house. That got to be too much of a hassle so I just kept my flip-flops on in the garage (with thick poly socks), and took them off when I had to go inside. I had been using some sort of solvent, like acetone or lacquer thinner, to clean the steel off before welding, and spilled some on my socks. Didn't think twice about it.

Fired up the mig welder, and started welding. Didn't notice that my foot was on fire until about the time I could feel it, thanks to the mask.

Any kind of gloves are poor for strength training. They make the bar larger in your hand...end up losing technique and grip. Also read that gloves don't really prevent you from getting calluses. There is a reason power / olympic lifters don't use them...

Seems like it would be worth it. The government should give it to everyone for free. It will save lives and billions of dollars in health care costs.

Fortunately, the Ultimate Reset Bracelet can be purchased separately.

I'd say that I would hope they have a special place in hell for the people who come up with that sh*t, but I'd be lying if I said that it wouldn't be fun as hell coming up with some of these bs products and the subsequent advertising. More lulz would be had in the product brainstorming sessions than during a South Park plot/script development.

People should really know better. $200 - $400 for a "cleansing".

Given enough time, any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise. It is the true warrior who can master both, and surpass the result.

I am Jacks smirking grin when I walk into the gym and see 15 new faces coming in and out with brand spankin new workout-outfits and filled with beginners enthusiasm. I figure they will be around another 2 maybe 3 weeks. One or two may hang on until Febs. Then I will have to wait another year to see them again.

Probably placebo lol....or they're keeping your hands from being sweaty which is what helps calluses develop. If you use chalk and take care of your hands, won't have to worry about calluses. If didn't come across the disadvantages recently I'd probably use gloves too tbh...used to use them before. I guess they aren't so bad for 'bodybuilding' purposes, but for functional strength exercises, barehanded is superior.

Researched all the grips and techniques when I started out and practiced on em, didnt help. Still got calluses in my hands and first two joints of my fingers, i've got Raynaud's phenomenon tho so that probably dont help to avoid em. Gloves seems to help against the worst attacks of Raynauds so ill prolly keep using em for now.

Thank you for the lesson though, sir!

Except that the gym is going to be bloody crowded between now and February. There's a bumper crop of hot chicks, though, all headed to the cardio equipment.

Was replacing my rack & pinion.
The fricken nut holding the ball joint on was stripped & wouldn't un-thread.
So I just grabbed the torch & burned it off.

Just wasn't paying attention. Now I gotta take out the wheel bearing to replace the boot. But honestly I can do that in about 30mins. since the car is allready jacked up.
