I might make a little noise on my last reps.. I have earphones on so I can't hear it but some people actually like scream and chit. I'm telling you there was this ultimate ******* a couple months ago that breathed so hard on the bike that I could hear him through my max level ear phones. He was breathing like a women that is having a baby. I felt violated like he was directly on top of me and his sweat was dripping on my face. Fucing nasty as fuc.

Dear Diary,
Finally hit the wall today. Went to gym, somehow managed to finish my 5x5 squats (230lb), set up the bench at 155lb; Did two reps, reracked bar, took the weights off and went home. Zero energy, joints achy, generally feeling like crap. All the symptoms of needing a good deload. Fortunately I'm on vacation for the next two weeks, so I plan on listening to my body and getting back in the gym soon, but not too soon - probably take 5-7 days off. Next time I hit the gym will be at a Marine Corps base so I'll have plenty of motivation.

Have heard quite a few ppl say that when they've been in the gym for a while and start getting aches, they come back even stronger after taking a good amount of rest. deloading sounds like a smart idea...it's not like you don't deserve it, been putting in that work!
very much appreciate the compliment . You're on spread, as usual!

Story of my life. If i sit on my ass doing nothing, the first week i come back i will feel weak, but the next week and on i will be stronger. When i started just going through the motions of the main exercises on a week off i would come back stronger. Some people can sit on their ass, some cant. Doing really high reps of a light weight will also help get blood flowing to the joints needing recovery.
Foam rolling helps, as do anti inflammatory meds, icing, and massage. There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

Thanks!
Foam rolling is a really good idea, might do some of that later!
I have been pretty lax with my diet since going back on my bulk, even after I said I was going to get serious about tracking again, but I have been 100% on my training. This is literally the only time I have not completed a workout since August, so I think I can manage resting for a while.
I'm heading home to San Diego, sure am looking forward to some carne asada burritos and In-N-Out Burger and TalentiUS Coast Guard ~ SEMPER PARATUS

5200cals? Looks thick but still seems like a lot. I ate a Digiorno 3 meat pizza yesterday that was only 1850 cals. I genuinely feel like I'm doing it wrong now

I was about to give you the honor of having the best homemade pizza ever posted on LF but then I scrolled down and realized all that beautiful pizza sauce is actually clumps of tomatoes.
4.5/10 but would let you cook me pizza anyways.

nah, youre fine. 4 cups of flour for the dough is like 1600 right there and another 880 for the assorted fats. add in the 16oz of sausage at 1140cals, + all the cheese. gets up there real fast.
everyone's a critic. if it makes you feel any better, its chunks of tomato with basil, oregano, and parsley. so its more or less my regular sauce, but not in sauce form.February 2009 - 295lbs - never again...
