Hey Guys,
Just wondering if any current physique competitors can help me out with some tips and advice?
I have been weight training for 7 years now since leaving high school, I mainly trained for athletic strength and conditioning and I was always told that in your early years you need to just build a good base of strength with the basic movements which to date I have recorded over the last 2 years since I have gotten serious:
Squat- 275 lbs x 10 reps for 3 sets
Deadlift- 330 lbs x 8 reps for 3 sets (17/12/2012) Yesterday I got a new pb
Bench Press- 242 lbs x 8 reps x 3 sets
But I'm now moving toward a more hypertrophy based training program, are there any physique/fitness competitors out there who would be able to share some advice for me? I'm still quite new to bodybuilding and while I research everyday all I can, I find actually talking to the guys that know what they're doing a lot more helpful.
P.S I have been uploading my progress for 2012, please have a look and tell me if I'm on track to a physique competitor body, my ultimate goal is to be an IFBB Men's Physique Competitor
Any advice would be appreciated.
