"If fascism comes it will probably be wrapped up in the American flag and heralded as a plea for liberty and preservation of the constitution."
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves and wiser people so full of doubts."

December 25th and Christmas isn't a Christian only holiday. It was co-opted by Christians. Many pagan religions celebrated sun goddeities on December 25th before Christ and lets not forget the numerous winter solstice celebrations that are or were celebrated during the same period. Early Christian leaders adopted dates that were already popular with other Pagan religions to help spur the growth and popularity of Christianity.
Ignorant Christians.
Cliffs: pick anything in the Bible, another religion already did it first.

Got to love the hypocritical right wingers. They're conservative religious nutjobs who think more government control is a bad thing unless it's for the propogation of their religion.

Yup. OP, December 25th is stolen from paganism, and its origins are astrological. Jesus is the last Sun God after many before him to be assigned that same birthday, be born of a virgin, perform miracles, and be resurrected 3 days after death.
Leading up to and even on the day of Christmas, how much do you hear or see being celebrated about Jesus? Little. It's all about having time off from work and presents.America needs fewer laws, not more prisons. – James Bovard

Yes. I am surprised it took that long.
My thoughts are love your enemies OP. They should get time off, and be able to celebrate by giving presents in loving homage to the Flying Speghettie monster, or a Darwin fish for all I care. As long as they are spending time with family, and friends and enjoying life, (if they choose) I do not see how this is more harmful than celebrating Santa Clause.
