yep.. and i've never rode in a ZR1 or viper before, I imagine they are insane with the raw power.. but the finesse, style, and luxury of the porsche is something else.
but seeing that new Viper.. makes me hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng. Would be a tough decision because I believe it costs almost the same as a 911 turbo

tbh, you're not getting that much luxury in a porsche. but that's what sets it apart from half-assed sports cars like aston and bentley. cars like porsche and lotus are about driving first.
it's an engineering marvel. to get a v6 to produce the power it does is unbelievable.***Not done with my drink till I've crunched all the ice crew***

stop quoting horsepower numbers. i'll just throw a v12 in my camry and stick my tongue out at you.
the 911 turbo s blows away all but 2 production cars on the planet in a drag race due to engine placement alone.
but you're right about the engine. only panamera and cayenne are V6Last edited by thefederalist; 12-17-2012 at 02:06 PM.

LOL , you mentioned how the porsche is 'unbelievable' for making so much horsepower from a 6 cylinder , im not just quoting HP for the sake of it i was proving to you how its not the only car to have a 6 cylinder and make alot of hp and the 911 turbo s loses to more then 2 production cars in drag races , and the car it does beat is due to its light weight and rear weight bias, not its displacement or horsepower

GTR and Turbo comparison:
Motor Trend has been testing cars since 1949. And, don't you know it, these two are quicker. The dragstrip king is the Porsche, which laid down a time of 10.9 seconds through the quarter mile at 127.4 mph. The "slower" GT-R did the deed in 11.1 seconds at 124.8 mph. Historically, that makes these two the -- surprise! -- third- and fourth-quickest cars we've ever tested. The almighty Veyron is still the champ (again, surprise!) with a silly time of 10.4 seconds at 139.9 mph, and the 691-hp Lamborghini Aventador is in second place with a time of 10.6 seconds at a blistering 133.9 mph.
porsche doesn't beat other cars due to its light weight. it beats other cars because the rear engine placement creates incredible traction. no matter how much torque another car has, it can't match the effect of that engine sitting behind the rear axle
and power doesn't necessarily mean horsepower. average torque is a form of instantaneous power***Not done with my drink till I've crunched all the ice crew***

op really lacks factual knowledge.
op, there are three big name us companies in the auto industry, and only two are american owned. chrysler is now owned by fiat, and although they still have plants in canada and the us, a nice chunk of profits go back to italia and that ****gy little car company.
look at your choices of cars.
hundia
honda
toyota
suziki
fiat
bmw
mercedes
mazda
lexus
.
.
chrysler
.
and the list goes on op. see what im getting at here op....all those^^^^ are not american owned while some models are still produced in NA, and at least a nice chunk of profits return to the mother land of each company.
north america has....ready......GMC, fords.
look at our options bro, and you cant deny that foreign (to north americans) made cars are bad, infact, ask any mechanic and most will tell you that honda, toyota, and lots others are actually the most reliable cars to buy.
my dad works at the minivan plant for chrysler as a quality control guy. he sees all the bad parts in the plant. ive been inside the plant myself, the quality of a minivan is ****. its disgusting.
i own a mustang, but i bought it because of looks and thats just what appeals to me, not because it was made in america or its some how superior, because its actually not. in 2011 fords came out with the new 3.7L v6 engine, its the first v6 to hit 30 M/PG while still having just over 300 hp. after reading review after review and spending an eternity doing research, between the three main muscle cars, the mustang, the camaro, and the challenger (all with the v6 and same model year) the winner on the track for over all performance and gas mileage was the hyundai genisis coupe. (if you missed the point im saying that american muscle was **** on by a south korean auto company) **** op, we cant even produce the top car/s for what north america is made famous for. we cant even win a race with american muscle. so how are we the best car producers?
as long as honda, toyota and other companies want to keep creating jobs in canada as far as im concerned its fair game to buy them.
heres a list of autos produced in ontario canada alone. i see only two out of 9 north american owned companies on this list. the rest are foreign owned.
1 Acura
1.1 Alliston Plant
2 Chrysler
2.1 Windsor Plant
2.2 Brampton Plant
3 Ford
3.1 Oakville Plant
4 General Motors
4.1 Oshawa Plant
4.2 Ingersoll Plant
5 Honda
5.1 Alliston Plant
6 Lexus
6.1 Cambridge Plant
7 Suzuki
7.1 Ingersoll Plant
8 Toyota
8.1 Cambridge Plant
8.2 Woodstock Plant
9 Volkswagen
9.1 Windsor Plant

Well if the USA stopped producing utter shiet, then perhaps someone else would be compelled to buy your cars. There is a general lack of build quality in most American cars that simply puts them one or two decades behind even a cheap European or Japanese car. I do like your muscle cars, but besides having some good designers in the 60's and 70's... well, it's not all that impressive.
