I have a feeling it went down like that. I was just glad I wasn't working that day, because I would have been on camera laughing about how stupid and random it was.
lulz, he walked in front of it, he didn't drive a truck in front of it. He wasn't on dat der creatine so he just got smashed and they had to clean the train up.
It turns out the conductor of the train is nicknamed the angel of death, because he has had so many people jump in front of his train.Total's = Jan. 2012 - 1036 @ 198's

This makes me chuckle because of how true it is. We have an engineer with almost 40 years of railroading who has never hit a car/person. There is a guy I hired out with last March that has killed 5 people in 3 seperate incidents, all being distinct suicides. Its odd how the world works sometimes.

Why do dead lifts suck so bad. I thought i fixed my form some what but realized i basically SLDL the weight with a flat back and i know if i fixed it i get so much more out of that lift. Plus i couldn't even finish my 3rd set of dls @420 when i did my last workout 460x5 perfectly. poop going to re-watch a bunch of vids

Anyone seen an adverse effect on their bench by adding a day for SOHP and more shoulder volume? I put 35lbs on my bench this fall during Westside not doing much SOHP work if any, and now on that Cube story time I'm struggling with bench volume that never bothered me before. Bailed out on a 250 2-board I should have had last week since I didn't feel as solid at the bottom as I usually feel.

Sunday is supposed to be my weak point training and SOHP is normally prescribed since bottom of the bench is weakest part of my lift, but now that I beat up my shoulders with push press, klokov, strict pressing, etc, by the time I get to benching on Wednesday I still don't feel 100% stable at the bottom.
I bench once a week and press once a week, but both days have shoulder movements in them of some sort apart from the main lift. Today was bench with standing db press and this past weekend was 5/3/1 press and lateral accessories. Could have also been attributed to floor pressing off a squat rack with the lowest level being at mid bench and next up being out of reach so I'm pressing half the movement to unrack it and at a bad angle for my shoulders.follow me on IG @ampUP11

well im running madcows so just doing program as prescribed. Im like 220 again im good on the food thing. It's more like a combo of bad day plus i suck so bad at pulling
In my case i think my bench stalled when i added shoulder stuff. last year i always skipped shoulders didnt do anything for them besides getting hit from bench and incline but bow that i do it it's coming back upSteam/Origin id: Fivefootkillerz RSN: Hi cookie

i dont understand how stronger shoulders make ur bench suck but ok. If its too much volume drop the lateral raises. My press and bench go up together.

Another cube? I saw that he's writing a sport functional version but do tell if its something else...
In the long run perhaps, currently my shoulders aren't used to having their own day and therefore recovery is piss poor and filtering into my bench work. More significant bench PR's in 2nd 10 week cycle I'm hoping.follow me on IG @ampUP11

hello *******s.
so hilarious
This. There are great ones and terrible ones. Mine actually lifts and a lot of his clients are athletes. Some are useless. He generally does a bit of ART too so I always leave with lines of bruises. Brb looking like I've been beaten in the gym. It's so good though.training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153696161&page=51

I think stability on the bottom of the bench comes from strong lats and knowing how to use them. Someone that actually knows what they're talking about can totally tell me Im an idiot, but thats how I see it. Ive never ever done OH work and Im very strong off my chest. I dont think OH work will improve that for you.

I am just guessing, but where are you failing, that should tell you where the weakness is stemming from.
I'm in the same boat
Coming from a weaker bencher to a stronger one, you are correct, it's lats and how tight you are able to stay at the bottom.
OH presses could be causing weaker benches due to fatigued shoulders, fatigued triceps, OH pressing technique may be taking over during the bench and tightness is lost. For example we all have our benching engrams and when we set up to bench our body associates pressing with scapulae tight and down, arch in our back, leg drive etc. For OH press we don't keep our scaps as tight, waaay less arch and no real leg drive, if any of this transfers over when we are benchign then we can instantly kiss pr's goodbye.
That was all just a guess, but it seems logical to me.It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

Dude, really? With your bench you are someone that knows what he's talking about through direct experience. I've also been told the exact same thing about the importance of the lats in controlling the bars decent and off the chest strength by several other extremely big benchers.

Makes sense. When I do close grip bench and tuck my elbows a ton, I always feel tighter in my lats and makes driving off the chest easier than my competition grip. If only I could figure out how to obtain the same lat tightness with my wider grip. Who knows, then I might be able to bench 300!
