what do you guys think about before a max DL attempt? i've recently learned how to tap into my adrenaline gland and it's been helping on my top squat sets.

Squat sets are easy for me to get amped for cuz I don't have a spot or racks and I squat low bar, so there is some fear there but with deadlifts I think about how awesome it feels to go all out and listen to really fast music or my fav song at the moment. I get really excited cuz I usually look forward to the attempt for a few days. If u are dreading the attempt, I would just try to think about dominating the weight and tap into ur inner rubish. Blocking out other noises helps too, I usually have music cranked.


Started pulling sumo, it is fun. Also got my rhino wrist wraps, things are amazing, thanks jason for the recommendation. If anyone was interested in the parallel breakers, they didn't last long.

Why was it so awkward?

It's a boring story so don't read unless you're really interested.
First I picked out a highly rated non-chain restaurant and she was like "let's go to roadhouse!". Then she was like oh yeah let's go watch chainsaw, movie started at 10 so I was like ok well let's meet at 8:30. She said "i need to workout and tan so maybe like 9". Roadhouse doesn't take reservations so she said meet at the mall, has me come look for her at the mall, finally find her and she was afraid of eye contact and the place she wanted to eat in the mall was closing (it wasn't actually closing she just assumed that) so she suggested this IHOP place. I would never take a first date here, but it was a great choice because I only had to spend $30 and got a 1lb Tbone. Movie was good, she was all over me like cuddling over 3 seats so I had that "**** yeah" look on my face. Take her to her car and she gets in right away and I was standing there awkwardly waiting for a hug or something and literally almost said "do you like daggers" and instead of continuing awkwardness I was like, "have a good night". She then blew me up about how fun it was and how we should hang out again. Mixed signals are mixed.

Did Dave really tweet about Brandon possibly using a bench shirt under his T-shirt for the backyard meet? I know someone on outlaw has been trying to stir up chit about that for a while now and keeps getting shut down. It looks like an under armour type shirt to me but don't know if this latest attempt on outlaw is true or not since I refuse to tweet or fb.

I dealt with a girl like that at FSU. She was friends of friends so we hung out and we always had to do what she wanted. She thought I was cute but didn't want to do anything because then it would be weird between our friends or some bs. I got tired of it quick so I called her out on it. She gave the whole bs about how if we did anything we wouldn't be able to go back to being friends. So I just stopped talking/hanging out with her. So in the end she got what she didn't want to happen cuz she was being a bossy b!tch.

With her lack of confidence, intelligence (she talked about one date where the guy had a "receiving hairline"...good gawd I about lost it), and experience (she only 20) I don't think that's the case though. I will do 2nd date and make the plans definitive. I'm kinda timid to pick places around here because I'm new and the locals either seem to hate places or love them, never again.

That is Brandon Lilly's lifts with commentary. He changed shirts between squat and bench and from that angle you can see some black under his t-shirt. But as Jason said, it could just be Under Armour. And Dave Tate didn't say any names. inb4 everyone quits Cubing their lives.
