For pl I seem to better with a set plan but I cannot program am for anything and just train it by feel. I do consider what jason said to be a plan as I train deathlifts the same way currently and is has been both fun and productive.

I've only done by feel for squats and deadlifts but i like having a routine with weights and reps already figured out. I dont have to stress about stupid stuff and can just lift.

We settled on ME singles for floor press today.
I missed this one but my floor press is historically weaker than my full press so this is promisingIt'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

It depends on what your training philosophy is. Having a set in stone thing to do for a session could hold you back on a good day or mess you up on a day where your strength just isn't there. Never mattered for me before, I was enough of a beginner where I could still hit the numbers on a bad day. These days, my squat is all over the place any given day. Depends how my lower back is feeling and whatnot. So its better for me to go by feel instead of trying to chase a set program and screwing up.

My thumbs are still numb from Wednesdays Max effort pulls. Maybe I should have eased more into it instead of just torturing myself and forced myself to keep going.

It's the regular slingshot.
I went light and tried 230, but felt off with 3 reps. I then loaded 270 without resting, but same result with 2 reps... "felt" like I was not touching.
I was wearing the opening exactly on the midline of elbow. Would moving the sleeves higher or lower help?
Is my problem that the slingshot threw me off and made me round my shoulders and eliminated w/e arch I had? I'm not sure if I relaxed and didn't work against the slingshot to squeeze my back and keep it tight. That's the only thing I can think of that would increase distance of touching chest.
btw, I bench with a somewhat close grip.Training Journal:

I've never had an issue with grip and not worried about it either. I'm basically doing it for the fun of it. Really a stupid reason especially for how painful its been but in that sadistic sort of way I'm enjoying the challenge. I should be better off in the long run too. As I'm getting older I'm going to be a lot more prone to pulling and breaking things.

I have a serious question....How come when we have an obvious troll thread the only people that post in the thread are people that aren't usual posters here??? Is it like a big group of trolls that come from somewhere else?
