^^ I can attest to this, I have not increasing my rep work in the slightest in terms of 5s and 3s except for a few reverse band squat triples. Still hit a conservative PR. With bench, my rep work sucks, same goes for the squats. Those PR's signify increases in work capacity, but do not have a direct correlation to maxes all the time. I hope your squat cleans up and the 300 bench gets here soon so you can keep putting up big numbers before you compete at 205 or whatever the new weight class they just created is.

I know. And I tend to max better than I rep for squat and deadlift and worse for bench. So even though bench estimates to 302, I may only hit 295. Though it doesn't really matter because I probably won't hit a tng 1RM before my March meet if I do it. So as long as I crush my 265 comp bench, I don't care if I'm at 300 right now or not.
I would have to cut down a few pounds to compete at 220. 205 would be quite a cut for me right now. I think I'll just screw around with 220/231/242 for now. I kinda wanna do 231 and 242 just so I can say I've competed at 181, 198, 220, 231, 242...dat dere dreamer bulk1372 @ 205

It's been on my mind lately... I've been messin around with a bastardized conjugate method for the past couple months after running Sheiko for a long time and I gotta admit I kinda miss Sheiko. Soon I'm starting Smolov Base/Smolov Jr to peak for a meet and after that I might consider going back to Sheiko, we'll see.
Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

for those who have benched with a slingshot or even those in gear if it applies...
I put the slingshot on after my DE bench worksets were done, and was unable to touch chest. I did 2 sets with slingshot.
Do I need to arch more (my current arch is poor) or do I lack the weight needed for the bar to touch my chest?Training Journal:

Guys/Girls I have a set of sleeves that I've never worn. I bought them for my elbows but I can't get them over my forearms.
They're a good brand. Same as the ones I use on my knees-

Size small 13-14. Never worn. Anyone interested in buying them off of me? Obviously I'll sell them substantially less than the original $57 price.
Plus they're black and not that ****gytime blue like rehband color.Last edited by Black_Spit; 02-16-2013 at 06:53 AM.

I train by feel to an extent, but it's all options based on a program designed to strengthen my weak points. Today I am floor pressing, no matter how I feel it's floor pressing day but if I am feeling great I may do a max triple and if I am feeling bad I may do a 5x5 at around 80%. I may be stronger if I followed a strict program but so far this has been treating me well
It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

LOL, I'm pretty ****ing anal about my training plans & tracking. I have a 5 year goal plan, broken down into to 6 to 8 month goals designed to get me to my long terms. Then I have monthly goals which I use to plan my training by. I have one of these set for each sport, which then accumulates into one larger over all plan. All of this goes through my Cycling God who helps engineer and plan all of this.
My real life training journal is massive. I track everything from sleep, to eating, physical statistical (form blood pressure to weight, bf, hyd, blood sugar, ect..) I have computers for cycling, running, even weightlifting that break down everything from heart rate to calls burned ect... automatically and in real time. So my coach can look on the internet and see my current hear rate, speeds ect and at any given time when I'm training. We can't lie or cheat about our workouts to our boss.

I can never set realistic goals. I always aim too high. That's why my competitions are always so bad.
I don't care.
