What is going on with the fam and babies lately?! Congrats Drew!
Inb4 you remember how much school sucks
jk, that's awesome, good for you.
If your creatine is mono, switching to HCL might make a bit of difference. I wouldn't ditch it completely.
I respect that different people have different goals but I have a special hate for crossfit due to the number of people I see performing technical lifts incorrectly 30 times in a row in a way that is almost certain to lead to injury, all because their weekend-certified instructor didn't know enough to teach them how to do it properly and they themselves don't know any better. That rustles me a bit. Also most of the ones at my gym are platform-hogging dbags who don't rack their weights.

I just finished my first day at my machining job today fam! Went pretty well and I think I'll enjoy it (or at the very least not hate it). I should be a millionaire soon enough!

Thanks, the assistance work seems ok.. Its just not being able to hit my numbers in my main lifts thats bothering me.. Think I will just reset 1RM's, I seem to work best with set numbers to try hit each week
Agreed on rapid weight loss, although I am attributing the initial drop a lot to water/bloat loss etc.. It has steadied out more, but am abot to reign my eating in even more.. Much appreciated on the feedback, at the moment i'm almost considering the whole "disregard strength, acquire aesthetics" thing for awhile, because as you said powerlifting isn't a sprint.. Plenty of time to build it back up.. As above, will drop 1RM's and see how that goes
It never has been before, i've never bothered about weight too much full stop.. So this is a whole new thing, a new challenge i'm setting myself I guess, and for a bit of a change up.. Trying some different training etc.. Appreciated on the feedback!

Very much appreciated on the feedback guys, apologies for that epic wall of text, wrote it after a HUGE day and minimal sleep.. Brain wasn't functioning to the best of its capacity.. Will drop 1RM's and see how it goes! Do you think around 20kg is a decent drop to start with?
Congrats on the baby news! Fingers crossed for a girl for you both!

Ahh and I also meant to mention, I haven't done CBL myself, but quite a few at my gym are currently running it.. Most have reported little to no actual scales weight loss, but definitely noticing leaning out more.. Are keeping strength and weight, but leaning out.. If this helps at all?

Oh yea, back up baby. lol
Hey, samonst I got a funny story. So my friend, Dr. Zourdos, gets a call from a guy the other day. Turns out it was that Halliwell dude from that Ft. Lauderdale gym. Starts off nice and innocent saying he's heard about my friend and that he should come to his gym and train sometime. Mentions that he is starting RPS up in Florida and he should compete. Then it turned into like a sales pitch where the Halliwell dude kept saying he's ridin' da bicycle and he squats 800 at 50 years old and he has a monolift. Basically put down my friends training and saying he should stop that and to look him up on youtube to see his squat. Here is his squat.
Sorry I tried to send you to that guy, don't go lol.1372 @ 205

I'm sure science would back that claim up. The main issue with male sperm is that there is no longer competition between males for mates (for the most part) and therefore our sperm is suffering due to crap genetics being passed to the next generation. I'm way too lazy to look up the articles on it, but it's a pretty interesting topic.
Is RPS the new SPF? Can anyone feel me in?

Was watching a deadlift video with my 2.5 year old son next to me. As the person is pulling, all of a sudden I hear My son yell "pull pull pull yay!"
Just to check I played it again and sure enough. "Pull pull pull yay!"
That was amazing.P.T.S. Getting stronger by the day

02-04-2013, 06:25 PM #4196It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

It's a good way to get your foot in the door if you are thinking about a job in education or want to work in higher education. You will make a lot of contacts if you make the effort to talk to people. It can also help get you into grad school.
If you're wondering I've had a student position for a little over a year.Total's = Jan. 2012 - 1036 @ 198's
