does a 16 year old need to be strict on a diet to build muscle/ improve athleticism

I been strict dieting for a year now and it has
totally consumed my whole life. I never enjoy my
self and whenever my family goes out to eat I sit
there and eat nothing like a moron because
there's nothing kn the menu most times that I
would actually eat. And same thing for holidays.
But I workout 4-5 days a week with about 20 mins
of cardio a day but I want to enjoy life a little. And
eat foods I don't normally eat a couple times a
week like going out to dinner. I'm also training for
sport( krav maga and jiujitsu) because I want to
become quicker and stronger not to become a pro
bodybuilder because that would never happen

It sounds like you are developing or have developed an eating disorder. Please talk to your parents about your issues and ask for professional help.

    Nutrition

It is not realistic to NEVER indulge yourself and adhere to a strict diet without deviation. It is perfectly fine to go out to eat now and then--especially for someone your age. If you are training very hard, it is likely that you are NOT giving yourself enough nutrition and are likely halting your progress.
