Looking to get lean for Summer

Hey guys, i've been lifting for about 3 months now, i'm looking to bulk for 1 more month then start cutting slowly to gain a body a bit like this:

    currently i look like:

    im 145lbs, 5ft 5.5" at the moment
do you think if i bulk for another month, then cut slowly (if i cut slowly i'm thinking i can gain some muscle because of "noob gains" 4 months lifting is still early enough to make gains while cutting, right?) do you think i can reach this sort of body for Summer?

    Thank you

man you could achieve a body way better than that easily.

i would clean bulk for another 6-12 months on a routine like BLSS (baby lovers starting strength) build a good base of muscle/strength then come back and reasses your goals than.

there is no point cutting if you have nothing to cut down to.

ultimately the decision is yours, sorry i dont know how long it is until summer where you live, but to cut down for visible abs i would say you would need at least 10-14 weeks in a consistent calorie defecit. if you havent been training for very long you could probably build muscle and lose fat (noob gains), but if you are going to cut just make sure you are in a calorie defecit (about 500 below maintenance) consistently, 1g protein per pund of BW, 0.4g of fat per pound of BW, fill the rest with carbs, lift heavy - gain strength while cutting.

    you can do it bro!

for reference i will post pics below of my cut about 4-5 months ago when i first started lifting (did it in about 12 weeks - only 6-7 were consistent)

    BEFORE

    AFTER

^^ was pretty skinny there, currently bulking and have gotten bigger, but thats just to give you some reference as to what you could achieve in 10-14 weeks of consistent cutting.

but in saying that i still think you should clean bulk for 6-12 months then cut

wow mate, you look like you gained a little mass or something on the cut
definitely the sort of body im after for the time being. i will definitely bulk again next year, but i just want to look cut for Summer

when i plan to start cutting i will have been lifting for roughly 4 months (lifted from around start of October, planning to cut mid-January)
will i still fall under the "noob gains" category?

This. I did the same mistake your about doing. Muscles takes time to grow, fat can easily burn off.

    thanks man, repped back!

yeh i would say you would still be able to gain a little muscle.

bodybuilding in a way is an illusion, i actually lost size on everything its just because im at a lower bf% that i look bigger - because you can see visible muscle/abs/veins n stuff

what ever you do bulk or cut i wish you the best of luck man!

hope to see you post a progress thread in a few months time!
