Ok so each serving of the complex gainer is 165g (1 heaping scoop) it has 60g protein each scoop and 650calories.
With Whey gold...which is not a mass gainer has 30.4g per serving (rounded scoop) 24g of protein and 120calories.
If you do 165g/30.4g you get around 5.4g
60/5.4=11.1 so if you where to take the complex gainer as a rounded scoop you would only get 11.1g of protein and if you where to do the same with the calories you would only get 118.18g ...Gold whey which is not a mass gainer...has more protein AND calories than the mass gainer...so tell me...what is the point in these mass gainers if the normal protein shakes have more protein AND calories?...just a smaller serving. If you were to up the serving of the whey gold from the rounded scoop to 1 heaping scoop there would be: 132g of protein and 660 calories, meaning its better than the weight gainer...more than twice fold if thinking about the protein.
Is this just a marketing way to rip people off or something? Or is my maths just wrong?

Well its more carbs. Also it will mix easier than all those scoops of whey protein for the same amount of calories. But the main difference is just that mass gainers are mostly carbs.
And yes do stay away from GNC they love saying that their GNC brand is so much better than all the other brands. Im surprised they didnt try to sell you the amplified mass xxx lolKobe all life. Man City. Bengals.
iRep back ಠ_ಠ (350+) always

Hello,
I think mtownballer20 is spot on, just add some oats/peanut butter/nuts and fruits/dehydrated figs/apricots ect. to your shake.... Probably end up cheaper as well in the long run. I like looking here nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/HG72/hg72_2002 .pdf (had to break my link because I am under 50 posts but just take out the spaces before .pdf) if you want to check what the numbers are for any potential additives....
Take care,
Joe

lol I just did the math with my Mass Gainer (Nu-Tek Mass Complex) where its 4 scoops = 620 cals, 50 proteins, and 100 carbs vs. the whey protein i drink ON Hydrobuilder weighing in at 180 cals 30 protein and 8 carbs for 1 scoop and yeah the Hydrobuilder is way more dense than the mass gainer...
gainers suck, paying for carbs
