Hey equipment nuts, I saw this deal and it has me seriously tempted even though I wasnt currently shopping, so I thought I would pass it along. Limited time sale of the EliteFTS Swiss Press Bar, $248 shipped to your house and that should equate to about $100 what they normally sell it for. I have been having some shoulder pain lately when pressing, is this a sign from the equipment gods? LOL

Haha, the rackable curl bar was the second thing I checked after opening the email! No free shipping there though, and I was thinking there was enough versatility with the multigrip to make it worth the extra money. Shoulders, triceps, bench, standing press, and even some bench over rows sound nice with that thing
Damn EliteFTS emails, I think they may have sucked me in with this one, I hadnt pulled up their site in a while so i could behave myself LOL.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #58 ▪█─────█▪

Oh yeah baby, bar arrived today! First impressions are good, paint is almost a little glossy and not quite as aggressive feeling as the finish on their Swiss Bar Attachment. Finish was 'ok', hard to tell if some of the blemishes were from EliteFTS or from the pissed off UPS guy who had to carry it to my house LOL. But I expect the paint to chip fairly easily as some of the previous reviews I have seen with some EliteFTS paint jobs.
VERY versatile bar though! OHP felt fantastic, curls were good from multiple grips, standing tricep extensions on the angled grips were nice, and bent over row was surprisingly comfortable. If I had any complaints, it would be that my lockjaws do not fit as tight as I would have liked, but they will stop the plates from shifting. And the width of the bar BARELY racks on my York, I would have been seriously disappointed if it wasn't compatible with my rack.
Grip size varies in thickness, not quite sure why....

My main bar is a 2 inch bar and it works fine with the j-cups but like yours, it does not fully seat. I turned the forward j-cups inward so I could use the safety aspect of the rack for the football bar. I then added a small hook so I can place my wrist roller on the front or use another bar with dumbbell hooks. I use my football bar for incline and overhead presses. I have had this set-up for years and it works for me.
I was looking at the bar you just got for the angled grips for triceps that can be racked in a squat rack. I just use the short triceps bar and I need to go heavier but want to do it safely.()---() York Barbell Club #29 ()---()

Well, it certainly feels awesome for tricep work! The angled grips felt great and it complimented super setting with pronated bicep curls outside the rack. Although, seems like a pricey solution to just tricep extensions. If you plan on using it for a wide variety of things I HIGHLY recommend the EliteFTS Swiss Press Bar. If tricep extensions are your only concern, I'm sure most people would probably recommend the curl bar we talked about above that is rackable at half the price.

Swiss Bars or anything with a neutral grip are great to have for just switching it up or injury. Recently my wrist has been hurting so I switched over to the BWTG Multipress bar and everything is great. Once my wrist heals i'll be back on the straight bar. I also have a rackable hex bar that I absolutely love for shoulder pressing. You honestly can't have enough speciality barbells. Its crazy how different the weight is just by switching the grip and by using different barbells you enhance your strength overall even if you're not lifting as much weight right away.
I love'em.---------------------------------------

Congrats, I think you will be very happy with the purchase! After more use I'm VERY pleased with the Swiss bar and it now domniates my shoudler and arm days. The only problems I have experienced is that my lock jaws do not tighten down all the way on the bar, and for some reason when doing tricep extensions the weight of the bar does not feel evenly distributed. I dont know if the bar itself is off, or if its just because i'm not used to using such a long bar and its harder to balance. Other than that things are good, and super setting with curls and overhead tricep extensions makes for one hell of a workout!!!

I just grabbed one of these bars on sale with free shipping and free Crock Locks. That's the only reason I grabbed one after hearing others complain about QC of their products. It wasn't enough for me not to spend my money and get some free goodies. The biggest issue I have with the bar is the space in between the j-hooks. It's tight but oh well...

I like my bar a lot to, but the spacing bothers me a bit. If I get off angle just a bit my plates bump my rack. Also the spacing on the handles I wish was a bit different, but would be more of a personal thing. Overall I am very happy with my purchase of mine. I had complained about the finish quality, which I still thing is a bit shoddy but over all great bar.
