Just a FYI, if you want a custom color, slap another $250 onto the rack's price :/

I had a legend, i sold it about 1-1.5 yrs ago, when I started working out 85% or more of the time at the free gym at work.
And about the yellow, I like the color scheme of black and yellow. I've had my powertec half rack for about 9-10 years now, and the color setup has grown on me.
@817boy: I WAS gonna get it, until I found out the paint job would cost 1/4 the price of the rack itself. I wanted all the tube steel to be yellow and the rest black, so in reality, it was not even a full custom paint job, as the j-hooks, safeties, pullup bars, and plate posts would all be the normal color. I'll just settle for the black now lol.
I wanted it similar to a rack they had posted on their ******** page:

from the top of the plastic on the UHMW it's 3/4'' of an inch.
the plastic stops 3/8'' before the J cup starts slanting up so in a bench press when it's rolled to the front of the hook it will be slightly more than 3/4'' but less than 1'', and that is the only point you would have metal on metal contact for those who are worried about the knurl, though you aren't slamming the bar on that area anyway. I haven't noticed any scuffing on the bar or hook in the non-plastic coated area.

I really like the look of bare metal. If you check their ******** page there are some pictures of a rack they had at the Arnold Classic, it looks to be red and bare metal...I really like the look of it, I wonder if they will sell that as an option? If so I wonder if it would have a clear coat on it to keep from rusting?

Can one of you with the rack tell me the distance between the rack itself and weight storage? Also could you make it closer to the rack or would if get to small?
Thank youMy Home Gym

No way my friend I love my R3! I just want to either weld myself or ask Dean at blackwidow to make me a weight storage add on.

I've had my Dark Horse for about a month now, and I am really liking it. The only two cons that I have are the awkward safeties and the lack for band pegs.
The safeties are big, heavy, and difficult to get in the hole. They screech and scrape along the holes until they actually fit in. I was adjusting my safeties today, and afterwards noticed a tiny pile of dust on the ground. It was actually the powdercoat that had scraped off, from me trying to get the damn thing in the proper hole. Would any other type of coating make them a bit smoother (chrome?)?
And is there any feasible way to install band pegs in the bottom and upper sides? There are not holes, so I guess I would need to drill some. Not sure I want to do that...any other solutions?
