For the money, a used commercial brand is recommended from manufacturers such as Precor and Life Fitness. They are meant for high usage in gyms and thus are made very well. Semi-commercial units can be more affordable for moderate usage. Home use machines may be the cheapest option, but tend to break down and replacement parts can be pricey and hard to get. You can look on Amazon for some options, which may include customer reviews.

I got a used one made by Smooth Fitness. It's a great machine and is "smooth" as the name implies. Check em' out.
