hey guys, just starting a thread out of curiosity on which protein isolate you guys prefer and why. I have more times then none purchased protein powders that have contained blends of proteins rather then specific individual proteins (isolate, casein, etc) and now I want to start taking just an isolate on its own for right after my gym sessions. Any suggestions and thoughts you guys have would be most appreciated. Happy pumping folks!

I switched to isopure isolate just the other day and love it thus far. No more upset stomach. The taste isn't as great and it's a bit gritty but I'm excited to see if I start getting better results over the next 7 weeks. I usually take protein with just water but with this I have been mixing 1/4 cup oatmeal tbl spoon peanut butter some honey and vanilla extract for a great tasting drink.

interesting. what would your suggestion be for a protein supplement? Right now im on myofusion and bio-x casein and getting dangerously low for both. Would you suggest a blend of protein then? I was thinking about getting a pure isolate for mornings and/or after workouts and keeping the casein for night.

I think a blend at all times is best, but I also think you're worrying way too much about the source of protein and timing of ingestion. This is one of my favorite posts in the forum about timing and speed of protein: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...3471&page=2#34
I can only hope that the same individual will provide an updated analysis on the subject soon.

Nope! Just a smiley guy! Actually - do your research. Yes - BCAAs are also found in animal protein (just not as concentrated). BCCA's will be listed on better Whey Proteins, because they are so important and because they cost more too. They are also proportioned optimally in the better Whey Products. If Isopure had them, they'd know the importance of listing them, hence it would appear they do not.
