"I live in Sydney, Australia, and have a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and I am currently training in the Rehabilitation Medicine training program. My first degree was in Veterinary Medicine. I have a Cert. III in fitness and hold a Cert IV Module in Nutrition and Weight Management.

I have a keen interest in health, nutrition, exercise and wellness. I have spent time at the Biochemistry and Nutrition Centre at University of Sydney (where the infamous Glycaemic Index ‘sugar clinics’ are based) and undertaken an option placement at the Diabetes and Obesity Group at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Sydney, NSW.

Early 2005 I started a small business focused on maximising performance, health, and body composition through exercise, nutrition, and supplements and since that time I have had international roles as a Forum Leader and Moderator at Bodybuilding.com, and as an International Health Advisor for LiveStrong.com.

Locally I still work in three main areas:

I am a Rehabilitation doctor at a hospital in Sydney
I continue to run my own Consultation Business
I am working as a Performance and Body Composition Specialist for a Sydney Based Allied Health Network "

Also OP, do you not understand that 16% bf on a woman is low? Obviously not.

I never called her fat, I don't know where you guys get off jumping on that. All I said was that when I looked at her body space that was all you could see about her. If that is all you are concerned about then you misunderstand the point of my post.

Actually nothing. I agree with most of what I have seen so far. I was just wondering what made her the main source for nutrition on the forum that's all. It really was just a simple question and nothing more. People just like to read into things.

You should consider looking into an undergraduate nutrition and metabolism course, you can find the text books and lectures online, they will make it more clear for you and teach you everything that's in that sticky more or less but with a whole lot more effort!

Her belief system is essentially the rand study paraphrased. Now, is she can get that study to take hold, more power to her.

Regarding her nutrition knowledge, I'd pick her over Dr oz any day.

This might seem like a weird question but does anyone know how credible Emma-Leigh is? She seems to be the guru on the nutrition board but if you look at her body space all you can see is that she has 16% bf and I looked up her website and not a single picture of her there either. It may seem odd but I look at people's body space profile as a way of determining their credibility.

If you checked out her body space a tad more carefully (like I just did) you would find 8 pics of what Emma-Leigh looks like.

My fault for not being clear. My comments and opinions were directed mainly about Emma Leigh and nutrition. Sure, a picture says a lot, but the volumes of information that Emma Leigh has written over the years surpasses what any picture can offer, relating to nutrition.

That's fine. My point is that if you took all of those volumes of information and put them into a book and put this picture in the About The Author section on the back of the book, you wouldn't buy it.

Your point is well taken, but out of context. The OP called her out. Not anyone else. But, if you want another out of context point of mine, would be just because a Personal Trainer looks good, it does not make him or her a good Personal Trainer. Most of the better Personal Trainers I have known are average looking and the worst PTs are the most buff.

The pic you posted is also out of context, unless you really believe Emma-Leigh looks like that.

The asking about Emma part isn't the part of the post I found funny. It's the whole bodyspace tied to credibility part and yes I still find it odd.

Also not for nothing but it was pretty easy to find info and pics of her to validate (or not I guess) her credibility.

In those Bodyspace pics, there is no evidence of 16% BF. Looks to be much less.
