These children didn't die, they were murdered. Someone was sick enough to end 20 lives. 20 lives that haven't even started living yet. No first car, no first kiss, no prom, and no graduation. Children across the world starving to death is a common occurrence, so no one really cares. It's almost normal.

this is so true. faith can be done elsewhere, leave it out of school, the last thing we need is people complaining they aren't religious/atheist and start a whole war about it in school. but if schools actually try to promote love for one another, people wont grow up to be psychopaths

R U kidding me? How well do you know your faith? how much have you actually studied it? if youre losing faith in God due to unjustified events that happen in life then you are a ****ing ignorant individual and im glad youre no longer associated with the Christian faith. Unreal.
i believe it was tooleys argument on evil. ...
1. many sad events occur in which the good features do not outweigh the bad features.
2. if so, then many sad events go unjustified, the good features dont outweigh the bad.
3. therefore, if God exists: then he allows unjustified sad events to occur.
4. but God wouldnt allow unjustified events to occur.
5. therefore, it is likely that : God doesnt exist.

The point is, the settings are entirely different. This is not a 3rd world country where kids should have to worry about being shot just going to school. The fact that you can equate starvation in a area where poverty is the norm with a man going out to a school, where children think they are safe, and blowing them and their teachers away in front of their peers is dumb. They aren't the same at all. This is our home and anyone living here should be troubled by this because these are our f*cking kids.

Still don't understand what this has to do with anything...
What you're saying - in the context of the thread - is that 15 million children dying of hunger every year is no reason to question God, because it is expected and usually happens in places outside America....but 20 kids getting shot is a valid reason, because it was unexpected and happened in America.
Is that your point, or am I misunderstanding? Hopefully, i'm just misunderstanding your point - or you're attempting sarcasm...***Farkle Draggers Unite***

some of you all quick to blame God for something.... terrible.
God didn't make this kid do anything. the kid made the choice to do these acts. God isn't going to pull some superhero act and fly down and stop someone from doing this. Remember the whole idea of free will... he can't interfere with our choices.
if you wish to "lose your faith" then so be it, but apparently you didn't have much to begin with to even say that. it won't get you into Heaven, but hey more room for the rest of us. Good luck."No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable."
