Anyone who has supplemented with Citrulline please help

I was thinking about getting some citrulline to add into my preworkout.

First off does anyone know the proper dosage? I have seen them range in preworkouts from 1500-2500 mg.

Also has anyone seen benefits while using this? Or should I not waste my money.

I thought bb.com had L-Citrulline but I can't find it anymore, unless they never had it to begin with.

Citrulline vs Citrulline Malate..... Is one better then the other?

Majority of preworkouts have citrulline in it already so it would not be to hard to reach the 8g but for the cost I don't know if its worth it.

I know L-cit is the precursor to arginine production and malate is more for atp production. Often times I see them clumped together as far as purposes go so is there a benefit of one or the other?

I use 6g in my preworkout and 2 scoops of xtend, so I get 8g total while working out. I can't say my gains are directly from the CM since I use it with other supps, but I do believe it helps in pumps and keeps that full muscle feeling throughout the day... And they sell the primaforce citrulline on bb for 18 bucks, 2g/serving @100 servings, not too expensive.

It seems alot of people are taking cit malate but is there a difference between that and L-citrulline?

interesting I have never heard it used this way other then during the workout for the pump, do you notice a difference in recovery?

Citrulline malate is l-citruline and malic acid, studies for athletic performance have been done with CM but L-cit. could have some benefits on it's own, there's positive evidence suggesting it might help with endurance and soreness.

Dosage varies, personally I have been doing 6-8g pre workout lately and liking the results. This is also the range in which studies were done on, I believe 8g to be exact.

    CM:[url]http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/prima/citrullinemalate.html[/ur]

If you plan to dose higher, buying in bulk is your best option ^^

Exact setup I have been doing as of recent. Liking it thus far.

Citrulline is the precursor to arginine which increases NO in the body. 3-5g of L citrulline is what you're looking for. The malate will help with endurance, 6-9 grams of cit mal if that's what you go with.
