Hey guys,
My buddy and I are having a friendly bodybuilding competition for motivation and basically just for fun. We figured making a thread on here would be the best way to get a good result rather then trying to figure out a winner between us.
Originally there were 3 guys but the third wasn’t able to make it due to work.
Were judging on: muscularity, definition, and symmetry.
Here is a little background story on how this came to be. The three of us have been in the gym since we were in high school and we decided to make a friendly competition to get some extra motivation between our regular lives and full time jobs. We are both 27 years old and the only supplements we take are whey protein, creating, and a pre-workout.
As far as weight and size measurements we are both basically the same. Were both 5”10 and both within a few pounds of each other at 180lbs.
Measurements: Cold not flexed arms down on each side
**GUY 1**
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 180lbs
Chest: 42 ½”
Waist: 34”
Mid-thigh: 23 ¾”
Calf: 16 ½”
Shoulders: 47”
Arms (Biceps): 15 ¼” (16 1/8” flexed)
Neck: 15”
**GUY 2**
Height: 5’10”
Weight 177lbs
Chest: 41 ¾”
Waist: 33 ¼”
Mid-Thigh: 24 ¼”
Calf: 15”
Shoulders: 48”
Arms (Biceps): 15” (161/8” flexed)
Neck: 15”
CLIFFS
-Friendly competition between friends
-Similar height/weight/measurements
-Judge on Muscularity, definition and symmetry
Cheers and thanks for voting! Were going to ‘declare our winner’ on December 22 at 12:00 Mountain time.
Feel free to comment, critique.
Thanks again!

Guy 1 is a bit leaner, making it very unfair. It really makes Guy 1's shoulders and arms look really shredded.
However when it comes down to genetics and insertions, Guy 2 has better abs, quads and biceps by far. It's just not as exaggerated due to poor posing and high bf %. It is not to say Guy 1 is bad because he does have the superior traps and calves but in the long term I feel Guy 2 would be better if he managed to lose a few bf % and work dem delts.
What ultimately made Guy 1 win though is the posing. He's able to create the illusion of being bigger than he really is and the illusion of a superior v-taper. Guy 2 kept on covering part of forearm making seem more manlet and never bothers rotating his body to exaggerate the lats.

Thanks guys,
The comments are great. Gives us an idea what to work on for next year. We were talking about making it a yearly thing.
We basically had the idea of doing a friendly competition and set a general date about a year ago. About 1 month out we had a "for sure" day set.
We're really happy with all the input from the forum and all the voters! It's only been up for 28 hours and we have a ton.
Thanks again! Keep the comments and votes rolling!
