Started concentrating more on execution and muscle involvement rather than how much I can lift. Sucks for the ego, but the muscles like it more
Time for a little update
Went to my Dr concerning my back and he put me on a cycle of Prednisone, I'm happy to say that helps a lot. Also got the OK for physical therapy, I'm not sure when I'm going to start? I'm waiting to find out when my wife will have her surgery I'm more concerned with being around to help her.
I don't know if, when or what I might be doing for my legs? My back issue has made me stop doing any leg work and as a substitute I have been riding my bicycle (road or stationary weather dependent) 40+ miles per week for the last couple of months. My bad knee likes this kind of exercise a lot and although it isn't that great for muscle growth, my leg and calf muscles are getting solid!
Overall I'm very happy with progress and as always looking forward to lifting tomorrow1Soon to be X-Fatoldman :)

Your thoughts and concerns are appreciated.
THANKS!!!
It's been a LONG couple of weeks since Thanksgiving.
I took Wednesday Nov 26 and Thursday Thanksgiving day off with the thoughts of possibly doing a double workout day on Friday, or at least that was the plan. Friday morning when I got up my back hurt a LOT and even standing was an effort, this lasted thru the weekend so all I did was lay around. Monday I was feeling a little better, but still not good enough to lift "anything".
Thursday Dec 4 & Friday Dec 5 were spent with my wife while she was undergoing pre operation tests. Sun Dec 7 and Mon Dec 8 was pre operation prep, Tuesday Dec 9 was her operation (12" of her colon was removed to clear a blockage). I was with her every day 8am to 10pm (long days!), on Dec 13 she was released from the hospital and we both got a good nights sleep Pathology reports were fine , staples from the operation were removed December 18, Doctor told her to take six weeks off before returning to work and to expect several months before a full recovery. As soon as she feels up to it, we're going to go someplace warm and relax for a couple of weeks.
My back
Doctor tried muscle relaxers and steroids for my back with no improvement.
Just prior to my wife's operation I got an MRI of my back, the Doctor told me that I have one slightly bulging disc Monday January 5th I start physical therapy, hopefully this will help???
That's where I've been for the last four weeksSoon to be X-Fatoldman :)
