I saw in the other thread where someone paid $45 for UHMW! Eeek!
http://www.drillspot.com/products/44...V9_Sheet_Stock for 1/8
http://www.drillspot.com/products/51...ed_sheet_stock for 1/4
Now there is a reason for the 1/4 = I am bolting it down and the countersink head requires some depth.
I'm working on the second set of hook now and might cut the UHMW today or tomorrow and post a how too then. I did learn a little from the first set and the second set will be slightly different. Just some small changes.

Sure, I provided more detail over in BAVE's thread this morning. The SKU # of the UHMW was 517355, although I would have gone for a thinner version if I had to do it again.
Edit: Don posted links to the actual UHMW product a few posts above. If you want to screw it down, I'd go for the 1/4", but if you want to use adhesive tape, I'd probably pick 1/8". My sheet was slightly warped when I got it, so I had to spend a little effort trying to flatten the entire thing. You don't have to use heat--I found that bending the plastic in the opposite direction seemed to work even when cold.Last edited by weisgarb; 12-16-2012 at 10:20 AM.
