Anyone recognize this preacher curl bench?

At first I thought it was a Maxicam, but it has additional bracing that I don't see on the other Maxicam preacher benches...

I may be wrong. but the bracing and the top pad design look similar to cybex

It doesn't look like the Cybexes for sale around here right now, but you could be right.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth a 40 minute drive in Atlanta traffic to go look at it. Seller is asking $125, but it's been listed for a few weeks now and they might be ready to deal.

There are also BodyMasters and Icarians listed for $150, along with the usual Powerline and Parabody/Bodysmith models for $50 and $75.

Decisions, decisions.

Choosing between icarian and body masters is a tough call, I've used both and you can't go wrong. My personal choice would be the icarian, as with all thier stuff its so overbuilt.

That's kinda what I was thinking. It's also in better shape overall than either of the Body Masters units.

There's a good looking Promaxima standing preacher curl on Ebay, but it would be a 14+ hr roundtrip, and I just don't need one that bad.

If that first one is a Cybex, it is an extremely old Cybex. I own one of the Cybex ones that looks like that one (it is actually sitting in a friends basement in Atlanta). Even if it were one of the Cybex ones like I own, I would much rather pay the $150 for the Bodymasters or the Icarian (I own a seated Icarian and a standing Bodymasters. I really like the seated Icarian, however if I were choosing between it and a seated Bodymaster it would be a toss up. I prefer the Icarian for the normal preacher, but the Bodymaster has the advantage of the two sided pad which allows for preachers and Scott curls.

I'm glad you reminded me that I have that Cybex in Atlanta. I need to get it and sell it along with my seated Icarian.

How old is that Cybex? I have one about 10 years old and it looks nothing like those.

The newer cybexes have a curved 1 pc frame I believe.

I'm still waiting on more info and better pics from the seller, but in the mean time, I took a little drive to check out the $150 Icarian and Body Masters units I mentioned earlier.

He was firm on the price on the Icarian, but offered me my choice of the BM units for $125. The black one had fairly decent paint (just dusty) and crappy pads while the white one had terrible paint and decent pads. I offered him $150 for the black one if he'd swap the pads, and he agreed.
