Your goals sound similar to mine. I'm eating about 1700 and losing. I do weights 4 days a week and try to also do one day of cardio. Lowering my body fat has definitely helped my mummy tummy!

I have a question though, for the girls who have been tracking their food for a long time. If you take a fish oil or a flax oil supplement, do you log that as well? I haven't, mainly because I'm lazy, but I've been thinking about it for the past couple of days.
Make sure you add me... I don't think you're on mine? My username is Botika.

Well, I enter in my multivitamin so I would think it would be best to enter in the supplement too...

I am also trying to lose weight, eating 1400 cals a day and I have been losing weight pretty well. Only thing is I am almost at my goal haha so IDK if I should keep going and go to 130 or just maintain at 135. I don't have a mummy tummy though haha since I have never been preggo lol but Botika it seems like you are getting rid of it very nicely

Well, I'm back after a break over Xmas. I put on 5lbs of fat over the holidays so now I'm working that off. Hoping to start back at the gym on Monday - once kids and I are over the latest cold / flu bout!!
I've lost 3 of my 5lbs already just with clean eating and using MFP - I'm at 1400 calls still and it's going well. I'm planning to up the calories a little once the gym work starts. Let's hope I can reduce my BF too then and my mummy tummy will go away - like yours!! Any other tips? It's my tummy that lets me down - and it used to be so flat and toned!! :-( LOL!!
Mum to 2 girls under 6. Been training a while but lacking results.

I just starting using it again. Jleeflang. Does anyone find it is missing a lot of workouts? Especially HIIT cardio.

You can add workouts if it's missing one, and then enter in your own time and calories burned based on your HRM. I've had to do that before because it wasn't in the database.

I track any of my supplements that contain calories, including my chewable vitamins. It all adds up at the end of the day. Most fish oil supplements are about 40 cal.

I saw this post and can relate.
I log all the time some weeks then not at all!
I've been told to up my cals which is def scary!!! But been slowly increasing.
I've been training for a long time but have spent the last 12mths or so understanding the need for more than 1200 cals and to increase weight training and limit hrs of cardio!

I just recently got back into logging my stuff... Message me if you would like to follow/be followed!
Is it just me, or is it a major pain in the butt to adjust macros with how they have it set up? After figuring out my needs via the nutrition stickies, it literally took me about 5 mins dicking around with percentages to get everything to match up...so frustrating!!! They need to let the "custom settings" REALLY be custom, and let you just type in your own values to get the correct numbers. The presets are ridiculous, especially starting off at only 1200 calories!

Sheiko-ing things up
yeah you have to go 'close enough'. I've complained a lot in the community as have other people. I've got mine about right; just have to keep clicking until it's how you want it. Frustrating...... I just remember on non-workout days what my targets are (I eat low carb on non-workout days).

In the forums? A while back I complained, I think I might have commented on a thread you made... If not, then we are definitely not alone in being frustrated with it. ETA: You said that a lot of others have complained...Amazing that the developers have done nothing to change it. Time to start a coup! Mutiny aboard the MFP!
I've got it as close as I'm going to get it...I had set it for 1500 and got everything adjusted, then decided that was a little ambitious and that I should be shooting for 1600 right now....yea. I just left it at 1500, and don't sweat if I go a few over. Same with my fats, I couldn't get that number right because of the percentages, so I just let it do what it does. There usually isn't a lot of fat in my diet to begin with, just enough to meet my needs, so I do my best to ignore it, lol.

I think its a great tool, except for their generated calories/macros lol.
