My last name IS French. My dad's side is all french. I am a French Canadian. I eat salk pork wrapped in mushed up potato that is tied in cloth and then boiled till it is a grey blob at Christmas.
I also eat cottage roll boiled to death with cabbage, turnip, potatoes and carrots.
I grew up in the town of Alfred (French fry capital of Canada!!) surrounded by french a$$holes who refused to speak english. There is something special about having the door slammed in your face when your 8 and selling chocolate bars for school. Because you are English.
The rest of me is a mutt though. English, Irish, British... A whole lot of **** going on there.Squats and Maple syrup son. Squats and Maple syrup.

LOL Peace River here.
It's not my ideal place either, but I am not complaining too much yet...
We have lived here for 2.5 years on a single income. My husband only worked 6 months a year up until this January and we managed to
stow away $50,000 [most of that in 2012]
spent about $30,000 on traveling/vacations/fun
Not to mention I tallied up our fitness/food total at $16,000-20,000
Around $60,000-70,000/year only working 6 months a year with high school diploma and never stepped foot in the oil field.
He's taking his engineering now, so we'll see where that takes us. Hoping to move back to Kelowna, and then he can just fly in and out for work after he finishes school.
Brb will have the potential to buy a new vehicle and a home, little to no mortgage needed while still in my 20s, doing better than my parents.
But in reality, living here does suck unless you like small town life and having to drive 2.5 hours to the "city" and 5 hours to Edmonton. Thankfully the gym here is great, and the people in it are great so I survive :P
Side note... I can't rep anyone in this thread haha. Must make a trip into the misc to spread.█ ♥ █ ***Canadian Crew***

My first name is Mathieu can also be spelled Matthew, Mathew, Matthiew, etc, etc. But when most people see it they pronounce it "Mat-eww" or something butchered along those lines.
This is why I go by Matt. It makes things a lot easier just because most people can't say my last name either.

someone want to translate this for me?
Given that the focus of our study is a specific population of juvenile drug court participants, we are not asserting that our findings are generalizable to other juvenile drug court programs. Therefore, we do not emphasize statistically significant findings in this section. Instead, we emphasize the actual odds ratios that are particular to this population. Specifically, we use odds ratios to express the likelihood of former nongraduates of juvenile drug court to have been convicted of an adult crime compared to former juvenile drug court graduates. Of course, the odds ratios presented in the models are in comparison to the constant.
something about a drug court study that found that graduates do less crimes than failures
