Sup guys...
I am trying to build up my collection of training books and I have a keen interest in the soviet-era authors, their knowledge, and their methods. The thing is, I am in Brazil right now, and let's be honest, we have no tradition on the sport whatsoever and the vast majority of soviet works haven't even been translated to our language yet. I can't even find these books on the net, and when I do, it is like $100 shipping + the price of the book. I can't afford that man! But if you guys have them on pdf (I have looked everywhere for them, and haven't found pdf copies), and send them to me, I'll be grateful, and even pay you a few bucks via paypal. (I would gladly pay for a hardcopy of them if I had access to their works at a reasonable price, but I just gave up on that possibility). Thanks a lot.
Here are the works I am looking for:
A textbook in weightlifting - vorobyev
Block periodization do vladimir issurin
A program of multi-year training - A.S. Medvedev
A system of multi-year training - A.S. Medvedev

Didn't read your post thoroughly first time. Just saw your problem of shipping costs. Don't know what elitefitness charges to ship to brazil.Last edited by JeepCreeper; 12-12-2012 at 09:23 AM.

Just call Mr. Charniga at Dynamic Fitness, I'm sure he can tell you about what the shipping costs will be.
I also find the Soviet Era quite interesting. I've read Roman and Medvedyev's stuff. Beware though... it's not easy reading. I don't know if it's the translation or just the source material, but it's not particularly well edited or organized.
Ironically, I thought the Russians brought their training methodology to Cuba, which then disseminated the information around most of Central and South America. So I would think Brazil's training is at least based in Russian methodology...?
