Doctors are there to fix your symptoms. they aren't "stupid" they just go with the explanation that explains 90% of cases. So for people who don't lift TOO much protein is bad for multiple reasons. For example for non-lifters too much protein = tons of meat. Too much meat without lifting/excercise = high cholesterol etc.

Most definitely arent smart, thats for sure. Memorizing a bunch of symptoms and relating it to a corresponding medication doesnt count as smart. i am just justifying your doctors response. your doctor does not know you do that. he only knows from what he sees in his office. He probably sees 40+ patients a day over half of which lie to him and have environmental, easily controllable health issues they dont solve. He is covering his bases by warning you. He is GP general. no specialized medicine. when you graduate med school im sure you will know better on how to advise patients

Ive done this before, and it always ends up with me knowing more about the issue than the actual doctor himself. I always end leaving the office wondering why the fukc is so-called "healthcare" so expensive, when I just did 90% of the talking?

My experience is, unless you have something extremely well known/common, like heart desease, diabetes, a tumor (cancer), a broken bone/torn muscle, or some mainstream neurological disorder (Parkinsons/Alzheimers), you will be left out in the dust.
