I have a friend that's a similar height to you and also an Ectomorph. He goes to the gym with me everyday and yet he can't put on any weight (muscle or fat haha). He showed progress last year when we were eating in my College Dining Commons (all you can eat) but lost that progress over summer.
I'm trying to help him out, what kind of macro's did you eat to put on that weight?

Didn't count carbs, protein I got 1g per lb of bodyweight, and calories at least 3000 a day usually 3500 to 4000 a day. I ate literally whatever and whenever I wanted to.

Using someone else's macros and diet is not the best answer brah. Tell him to go to the nutrition forum (or do it for him if you're deadset on holding his hand through it) and calculate his own maintenance calories and macro needs, then hit those targets every single day of his life. If he isn't putting on any weight, he's not eating enough.

I told him that haha just eat till you start putting fat on but I was simply curious what his macros where
