Are you in the top 5% of the population? Do you do these things? If so, you are!
And if not, then learn now!
Right now, in this very moment...do you have any Goals? If you cannot answer this question in less than a second, then you are automatically a FAILURE in life. SERIOUSLY! A man who doesn't have any goals is a BUM! Are you a BUM? A Goal = something you want to achieve, which is worthwhile, and that which will also improve your own life, and/or the lives of those around you.
LESSON #1: Have a Goal!
Are you working towards that Goal? Today, did you make a CONSCIOUS decision, to actively pursue your worthwhile goal? And not only that, but did you back your conscious decision to pursue that goal, with ACTION? Or are you part of the 95% of people, who goes to school, because everyone else goes to school...and just like everyone else, do you also aimlessly wonder through life, just getting by?
LESSON #2: Pursue that Goal, with PURPOSE/ACTION!
And that's it! Every night, right before you go to bed, do yourself a favor! Ask yourself a few questions, and be truthful! Today, did you do all that you possibly, humanly, could do...in order for you to achieve your goal? Did you put in the effort? the work? the commitment? if you could redo this day again, could you have done a better job? could you have done more? because it comes down to just 1 point: the Time that passes us by, is time that can ALWAYS be used more wisely!
So each night, as you fall asleep, ask yourself a few questions:
1) In terms of your long term Goal(s), what did you do today, to achieve them?
2) In terms of your long term Goal(s), was today productive?
3) If not, then what could you have 'changed', and how will you implement that change tomorrow?
THINK about these questions before you go to bed. And you'll automatically start thinking like a successful person!
Some side notes: First of all, it is important to think of a Goal, which is actually worthwhile, positive, and something that will enhance your life, or the lives of others around you. If your Goal doesn't fit this criteria, then it is NOT a 'worthwhile' goal. Simple.
Secondly, having an unproductive day is NOT the end of the world. Use this as way to IMPROVE yourself, like a stepping stone. You're only a failure if you keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and never addressing them. You're a failure if you do not have any goals. You're a failure if you do not progress. You're a failure, if you lack ambition, drive, or purpose in your life.
And finally: If you pretty much follow the basic outline of the above...I can pretty much guarantee you success. But you have to put in the work first. There is only 1 place where Success comes before Work...and that place is in the dictionary! Put in the work, and the rewards will come your way!
